Tina was not like many of her friends. She didn't listen to pop music, but her friends liked rock and pop music. When Tina asked her friends to try classical music, they all looked at her strangely. "Classical music is for old people," they said. Tina was worried if something was wrong with her.

Tina decided to talk to her father. In the study(书房), asked her father, “Dad, am I strange?”"Of course not,”he answered. "Why do you ask that?”"Because I don't like the same things as my friends do. They want to listen to Mariah Carey's music. I like Yo Yo ma's.”" I can understand. Tina, it's all right to be your own person. You don't have to copy(模仿) what other people do. Everybody has different tastes.”After talking with her father, Tina felt better. She realized that doing different made her special. It was an important lesson for her to learn.

    Do you know the pretty girl? Her name is Tian Wei. She was born on April 5,1986. She was from Beijing. 她有一双大眼睛 and short hair. She was good at Chinese. And she loved writing.

    她是不幸的。When she was in Grade 8, she was ill. Her doctor said she would lose her life anytime. But she wasn't afraid of death. She kept on studying and writing. She died on August 13, 2007, At the end of her life, she was still smiling.

    Tian Wei had a great dream. She hoped that people could read her book in the bookshops. In Mrach, 2009, her only book Hua Tian Ban Mu(半亩花田) came out. It had more than 5 thousand words. In her book she said, "I'm always aching（疼痛) if possible, I'll let my right eye weep(哭泣) but the other one smile."

    One day a poor farmer was taking a bag of rice to town. Suddenly the bag fell off his horse on the road. He didn't know what to do about it because it was too heavy for him to lift by himself. He only hoped that somebody would soon pass by and help him.

    Just at this moment a man riding a horse came up to him. But the farmer was very disappointed (失望) when he saw who he was. It was the great man living nearby. The farmer had hoped to ask another farmer or a poor man like him.

    But to his surprise, the great man got off his horse as soon as he came near. He said to the farmer, “I see you need help, friend. How good it is that I'm here just at the right time.” Then he took one end of the bag, the farmer took the other. They together lifted and put it on the horse.

    “Sir,” asked the farmer, “how can I pay you?”

    “It's quite easy,” the great man answered with a smile, “wherever you see anyone else in trouble, do the same for him.”

One day, a father took his son to go back to their hometown. They visited the little boy's uncle who lived on 1 farm. They spent three days and nights on the farm. When they were 2 the way home, the father asked his son," How was the trip?"" It was 3 , Dad." said the son.

" What did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered," We have one dog 4 they have five. We have a small pool that reaches the middle of our garden and they have a big river 5 has no end. We have some 6 in our garden and they have the stars at night. We have a small piece of land to 7 on and they have fields that go beyond(超出) our sight. We need to buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls to protect 8 , but they have friends to protect them. The boy's father 9 by his son's words.

Then his son added," 10 rich they are! Thank you for showing me what a poor life we live."

I have got two friends. They're from different schools. jerry is a boy from the UK. His school is very big. The students sit around tables in class. Sometimes he joins clubs and makes some new friends from different classes. School starts at 9 o'clock and finishes at 3 o'clock. He often plays football with his classmates after school. Lingling is a Chinese girl. Her school is beautiful and new. There are some beautiful flowers and tall trees there. There is a big library in her school. She often reads books there. School starts at 8 o'clock and finishes at 4 o'clock. She plays the guitar with her friends at break time sometimes. It's very cool. 

There are many after- school clubs in our school. Students can learn many things and have fun there. Joining a club can make your life colorful. We are glad to tell you about some after- school clubs and you can choose your favourite one to join. 

Chess Club You can join Chess Club on Monday afternoon. You can learn to think. You can meet some people having the same interests and it's easy for you to make friends with them. I think you can get on well with others. 

Skateboarding Club Skateboarding is one of the hottest sports in our school. It is a great sport and it's also an activity for fun. You learn to ride a skateboard there. You can play skateboard on the clean ground. Would you like to have a try? Bring a skateboard and join us every Wednesday!

Cooking Club Cooking Club is really cool. The classroom is on the first floor of the dining hall. You can learn how to cook and eat the right food. You can try different food and have a healthy eating habit. It will help you have more fun in your life. 

English Club English Club is really useful for you. There are many activities in the club. You can watch English films with the members. You can also read a lot of English books. You can even borrow them and take them home to read in your free time. In the club, you can talk with foreign (外国的) teachers. All the teacher would like to help you with your English.
