Fifteen-year-old Jaclyn Gomez noticed that many people around her were going through hard times. Her sister Amy didn't feel happy because she had no friends in her new school. Her friend Tony felt sad because he hadn't seen his parents for a long time. So Jaclyn Gomez wanted to bring delight and love to them.

"I thought of this idea because there were a lot of sadnesses in our life and I wanted to make people I love feel happy,"Jaclyn said. Later, she decided to invitc Tony to have dinner together."Amy and Tony often feel lonely, so I want to be with them. Tony came and we enjoyed a delicious dinner. Then we went for a walk and took many photos. Finally, we sang songs happily and loudly.It was really exciting!"she said.

Jaclyn Gomez's parents were proud of her and said she did the right thing. Jaclyn said she just wanted to make people happy. In the future, she will go on bringing happiness to others.

On January 8^th, 2018, third-grade student Wang Fuman's hair turned white in the temperature of -9℃ as he walked for over an hour, traveling 4.5 kilometers, to Zhuan Shan Bao Primary School in Xinjie County, southwest China's Yunnan Province.

"'Ice boy' Wang's dream of traveling over 2,000 kilometers from his homework in Yunnan Province to visit the capital Beijing finally came true on January 19^th after his frozen hair picture caught public attention, "The Beijing News reported. 

Wang with his father and sister traveled from Yunnan's Ludian County, arrived in Beijing on January 19^th, 2018. Over the next three days, they visited Beijing's the Palace Museum and the People's Public Security University of China so that he can learn something about how to become a good police officer.

That evening, Wang recalled the many exciting "firsts" he had experienced since he set foot in the capital, including the first time he had traveled so far, his first flight, his first time eating the Beijing duck, the first time he saw tall buildings and cars.

Wang said that Beijing was warmer than his hometown and he wanted to see how students go to school in Beijing to find out if they need to walk a long way like he does.

Tea is enjoyed differently around the world, from how it's made and drunk to where it's enjoyed. According to the ways of making tea, tea is divided into white tea, black tea, green tea, etc. In Tibet, people often boil tea with salt and butter. Tea is drunk at home or in public places like tea houses.

Tea is a part of culture and connects to history, health, education, and communication. It's often included in social activities, like the British tradition of afternoon tea. Families or friends can communicate with each other while having afternoon tea.

Chinese people also use tea to make tasty dishes. Originally used as a medicine in ancient times, it is now not just a kind of drink, but also great seasonings（调味品）. Some delicious dishes made with tea are tea eggs and Dragon Well Tea Shrimp（虾）.

Before drinking tea, remember these tips:

• Drink tea while it's hot.

• The best time to drink is in between meals. It is bad for your stomach if you drink tea just before meals, during meals or soon after meals.

• Don't drink too much strong tea.

Do you make your bed every morning? It may seem like a small act, but don't look down on the benefits (益处) of making it a habit. This is good for both your physical and mental (身心) health. 

First of all, making your bed can be your first step towards having a successful day. Tidying up your bed may only take a few minutes. But this can be your first task of the day. Completing it will give you a small, simple sense of pride (自豪感). And this will encourage you to move on to other tasks. 

Besides, your sleep environment plays an important role in the quality of your sleep. Poor"sleep hygiene (卫生)" includes not only noise and light, but also clutter (杂乱). 

How can you make bed- making a daily habit then? You can try making your bed after brushing your teeth, for example. Some people also set alarms on their phones to remind (提醒) them to make their beds. 

Whatever way you want to take, it won't be difficult if you decide to get into this habit. It can get your day to a great start and give it a better finish!

This morning, I went camping along a path in Green Natural Park with my friends. We were happy because it was a sunny day. We were expecting an enjoyable two- day holiday. On the way, we kept singing and making jokes. 

However, in the afternoon, when we finished our picnic at one o'clock, it was dark and windy.  Soon there was a shower. Unluckily, none of us brought an umbrella. We ran about but we could find no place to hide. 

Twenty minutes passed and it was still raining. There were hours to go before we could reach the campsite (野营地). It was even worse that our small compass showed that we went the wrong way. We lost our way!

We had to make a quick decision as it was raining heavily. Chris said we could set up a tent to hide in, so Mary and Tom helped to set up the tent. Chris and I tried to make a fire to keep us warm. But we were unable to light the fire,  ▲ . We dried ourselves, chatted and waited inside the tent. At about five o'clock, it stopped raining. We decided to give up the camping trip because all of us were very tired. 

This camping trip may not be very successful but we have got to know each other better. And the most important thing I've learned from this trip is the importance of teamwork.
