Last summer I went to Qingdao. Qingdao is in the east of China. I went there with my mother and my grandma. The weather there was very hot. I swam in the sea every day. We ate lots of fish. We had a lovely time there.

    I'm Tom. I have a big family. My grandma is a Chinese teacher. She is kind, sometimes she is strict, too. My grandpa is a science teacher. He likes to make jokes, he is very funny. My mother is a nurse. She is hard-working. My father is a good cook. I am a pupil. I like to play games. This is my family. What about yours?

    Lucy's uncle Peter is a policeman. He helps others every day. He catches thieves. He drives the police car to go on patrol. He is brave and handsome. We like him. Every Saturday he goes to the beach for fishing because that's his favorite. Tom is a waiter. His job is to bring food to people. He is kind. He smiles all day. But he doesn't like to eat too much. On weekends he likes to drive his car. He likes to go for a spin. Ben's brother Jack is a farmer. He plants rice. Every spring he plants some rice. Every autumn he cuts the rice and puts the rice in the house. He sell some rice. And he leaves the other rice for himself. He also likes to grow flowers. His garden is very beautiful. He grows many flowers and vegetables in the garden. His garden is interesting too. He makes neat paths and builds a wooden bridge over pool. He wins the prize fro "the Nicest Garden" in the town.

    Today is Saturday. All of us go to school early, but we have no class. Our teachers are going to take us to the zoo. We take buses there.

    We get there at nine o'clock.

    How beautiful the zoo is! There are many trees, some hills, and a big lake. It's spring(春天) now, so the flowers are coming out. There are many people there, too. We like to watch monkeys. They are playing on the hills or having oranges, apples and bananas. We have a good time.

    We leave the zoo at four in the afternoon.

    I like reading books very much. I have many books in my study. Look. This is a dictionary. It's my good friend. It helps me understand the new words. I have many comic books, too. The pictures are beautiful and the stories are usually funny in the comic books. I have some postcards. They are from my good friends. I'm going to buy a storybook. I want to read some stories.
