I'm Cathy Brown．I am now working for the Sunshine Travel Service in Fuzhou, Fujian. I have just come back from Taiwan, the largest i{#blank#}1{#/blank#} of China. Last week, I took a group of officials for a week's trip to Taiwan. We t{#blank#}2{#/blank#} all around the island. There are lots of fascinating s{#blank#}3{#/blank#} on the island. My favorite sight is the Sun Moon Lake. You may ask w{#blank#}4{#/blank#} people call it so. If you  f{#blank#}5{#/blank#} high up over the lake and look down from your plane, you 'll find the answer yourself. In the middle of this lake, there's a small island t{#blank#}6{#/blank#} is called Lalu. On one s{#blank#}7{#/blank#} of Lalu the lake looks like a sun, and on the other side it looks like a   m{#blank#}8{#/blank#}. That is why people call it the Sun Moon Lake.

    There are many mountains around this lake. One of the nearest is Mount Ali. We stayed there for three days. We also h{#blank#}9{#/blank#} a dancing party with Gaoshan people there.

Why not consider v{#blank#}10{#/blank#} Taiwan for your next vacation? It's a wonderful place to visit.

March 24^th

    This morning, we had a school trip to the Dashan Collection House, a building of two floors． It is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm． We took the school bus and arrived at 9:00． When we entered the collection house, our eyes were caught by a collection of old photos of the town on the walls of the front hall． Those photos told us something about the history of the town． And then in the Art Room, we saw many pictures of the countryside． The colors of the flowers and trees are rich and bright． All at once, I lost myself in the beauty of nature．

    Then we went upstairs． On the left, there were over one hundred different clocks． The oldest clock was already more than two hundred years old． To my surprise, the clocks all worked well and they could tell the right time． It was then ten o'clock, and some clocks produced different beautiful sounds． It seemed to be a concert． How amazing!

    On the right there was also a stone collection． The stones were from all over the country． They were in different sizes, colors and shapes． Some looked like different kinds of animals． I really liked one stone that looked like a little monkey． It looked very nice．

    The collections there were wonderful． So they stayed there until 11:30 in the morning． I had a great time and really liked the school trip．

    Tyler opened the door to his house and went inside. His mother was in the kitchen. She felt surprised when she saw his sad face. “Tyler, what happened? Is everything okay?” “Nothing is okay, Mom.” “Is there anything I can do to help?” “That's just the thing, Mom. We can't help. There's nothing we can do.” Tyler kept talking,“Today, the teacher talked about Earth Day and the environment. Earth Day is a day when every person promises to do something to help take care of our world. Mrs. Green said that our world is getting dirtier and that many animals and plants are dying. She wants us to think of something we can do to help and I thought all the way home and there is nothing I can do. I can't stop people from polluting our air and water and I can't save all of the animals. There is not anything that I can do to make a difference.”

    His mother listened and after thinking for a minute said,“Of course you can. There are lots of things you can do. For example, you can walk to school. You can use both sides of your paper to save trees. You can plant a tree every year. You can clean up rubbish from your neighborhood park. Everything you do to help the planet makes a difference. The most important thing to remember is that Earth Day should be every day!” “Oh, I see. Mom, we each can make a difference to the world. Thank you, Mom.”

Last week I had a pretty good vacation with my family. We had great fun playing in different places. On Monday, the weather was sunny and hot. We went to White Beach and _______ (swim) in the water. On Tuesday, it was cloudy and humid(潮湿的).We visited two museums in Central Park. We saw many old things. On Wednesday and Thursday, it was rainy and windy. We walked in the city. We bought some interesting things and ate some delicious food. On Friday, the weather was cool. We went hiking in the mountains.我们很累但是感到很高兴。I really enjoyed my vacation.
