Do you often run outdoors to keep healthy? Have you ever thought about how running helps to clean up the earth? Sometimes creative mind can bring us win-win (双赢) situation.

 Plogging, a new way to exercise, began in Sweden. The name "plogging" comes from two words—the Swedish word "plocka", which means "to pick up", and the word "jogging", which means "to run slowly". A Swedish man called Eric started the movement. He saw rubbish here and there when riding to work each day. He became worried about the dirty environment and decided not to go to work by bike any more. Instead, he began to run to work and pick up the rubbish at the same time. To his joy, more and more people followed him and soon plogging became popular.

Many people choose plogging instead of just jogging because they think plogging is a good way to help clean up the earth. Sometimes rubbish is difficult to collect because it may scatter all around. But if the runners pick up the rubbish on the way, it is quite different. After all, many hands make light work. Another reason is that plogging burns 48 calories (卡路里). According to a reseach, plogging for 10 minutes burns 48 calories, while usual jogging for 10 minutes burns about 39 calories.

Everyone on the earth should play a part in cleaning it up! It's time for us to take action together. So ready? Let's plog tomorrow!

 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有一项为多余选项。

We know that spending time in nature reduces stress and improves our mood. We also know that the act of hugging ourselves or another living thing can improve our well-being. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} That's exactly what hugging a tree does! Read on to learn more about the benefits of hugging a tree!

Take a fresh breath. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} So, when you are close to a tree and hug it in a forest, you are naturally in a more oxygen-rich environment. You are also more likely to be breathing in fewer pollutants (污染物), especially if the forest or woods are away from a main road or air line.

Improve heart health. Ore study found that when we experience nature—whether by hiking in nearby mountains or simply looking at trees and birds on the way to work—we can increase our heart rate variability (可变性). {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

Reduce stress. Trees are one of nature's greatest stress reducers. It works by connecting you to the environment and allowing you to feel grounded in both space and time. When you hug a tree, you receive grounding energy through its roots. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

If you don't have a tree in your yard, go visit the local park or hike in the closest woods. Find a tree that speaks to you or is impressive in its appearance. Go give it a bug. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}So what if passers-by laugh at you? The bug you give is not just to the tree but to yourself and your spirit.

A. Get over your fear of embarrassment.

B. So, why not try to mix the two together?

C. It is well known that trees produce oxygen.

D. When you hug a tree, you will receive more energy.

E. This can lower the risks of many heart related diseases.

F. It's effective for people who suffer from nervousness and worry.
