What do we do when we go camping? First, we make a plan. We take food, clothing, a knife, and things for cooking and eating. We take things to keep us away from(远离)insects(昆虫) and the sun.

    Then we put everything into the car and we drive to the woods(森林). We look for a place for campers(露营者) and we look for a good place for our tent(帐篷). The place should have a lot of moving air. This will keep some insects away. High land with water on both sides of it is good. Then we put up our tent. We put everything into the tent, and we are ready for fun. We can swim in the lake, walk in the woods, climb a mountain, row a boat, or go fishing.

    In the evening we come back to the tent, and we build a big fire because it can keep the insects away. We sit around the fire and talk. We may tell interesting stories or we may sing songs.

    At night we lie down on the grass. We can look up at the stars. It is a busy day, so we try to go to sleep early.

    Everything is dark. Everything is quiet. We hope we won't hear music from the radio in the next tent. We hope it won't rain.

There's an elephant living in a forest. He's very beautiful and clever. He usually helps people who get lost in the forest, so people in the countryside all like him very much.

One day, a young man came to the countryside. He knew the elephant from the farmers and he wanted to catch him. Then he went to the forest and looked for the elephant. After two days, he saw the elephant and ran after him. But the elephant ran so fast. The young man couldn't catch him. The elephant ran from morning to night. He was very tired, so he hid (躲藏) behind the trees. The young man couldn't see him.

After some time, the young man got lost in the forest and fell into a pool. No one could help him out. The elephant saw that and saved him. The young man thanked the elephant and said, "I'm sorry for what I do at first. Please tell me what you want me to do for you." The elephant said, "I only want to stop catching animals and save them."

The Everybody Experiment(实验), written by Lisa Moore Ramée, is about an 11- year- old girl named Kylie. Kylie has just {#blank#}1{#/blank#} sixth grade. She's very shy. She cries a lot, which makes her worry that she's not strong enough for middle school. She's also {#blank#}2{#/blank#} that her feelings might embarrass her friends.

 Kylie loves science, so she asks herself:" What would a scientist do to solve this problem?" She comes up with the idea for an experiment. She calls it the Everybody Experiment. She decides to act stronger {#blank#}3{#/blank#} copying the actions of her friends Nikila, Mara, and Naomi. Every day, she writes down what happens with her experiment and then review s the results. After a {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, Kylie realizes she's just as cool as her friends— she just {#blank#}5{#/blank#} her feelings differently. She gains the confidence to be herself.

Health is very important. But as students, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} can we keep healthy? Here are some simple {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (way) that can help us.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (one), we should eat more vegetables and fruit. Because they are rich {#blank#}4{#/blank#} vitamins and fibre. And we should eat {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (little) sweet food than before. Because it {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (contain) a lot of sugar and fat. They are {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (harm) to our teeth. Also, they can make {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (we) become fat. In a word, we'd better have {#blank#}9{#/blank#} balanced diet.

Second, we should have good living habits. Don't stay up too late. What's more, smoking is not {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (allow).

In this way, I'm sure we can become strong and healthy.

This summer my family went on a trip to Stockholm. 

Before the trip, we booked a hotel room in a city centre. When we arrived in Stockholm, we {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (take) a bus to the hotel. Then we went out for dinner. We saw trees and flowers everywhere on the way to the restaurant. We felt like we were in a big forest. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}a lovely city!

The next day we visited the Vasa Museum. It's home to {#blank#}3{#/blank#}old ship—the Vasa. Nobody was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (excited) than my son, because {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(visit) museums is his favourite. There were many visitors in front of the museum. We waited {#blank#}6{#/blank#} a long time and felt a little tired. But{#blank#}7{#/blank#} we went into the museum, we were all surprised. The ship looked very cool and beautiful. 

The third day we went to a park in Stockholm. People did different {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(activity) in the park. My son played with some children there. I talked with their parents. My husband watched a chess game. I thought it was the best way {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (feel) Stockholm!

It was a really {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (enjoy) trip. We all had a good time. 

It was a hot day in July, 1954. On that day, a man arrived {#blank#}1{#/blank#}Haneda Airport in Japan. When checking his passport(护照), the officials found that he came from a country called Taured. The passport looked real, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the problem was that there was no such a country called Taured. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}a strange thing!

 The officials asked the man to point out where his country was on a map. He didn't find it, and couldn't understand why his country wasn't there. According to {#blank#}4{#/blank#}it should be there for over 1,000 years! And the officials were very {#blank#}5{#/blank#}to find his passport had been stamped(盖章) by many airports around the world.

Then the officials let him stay in {#blank#}6{#/blank#} local hotel until they could find out the mystery. They tried to keep in {#blank#}7{#/blank#}with the company where he worked, but the company didn't know him.

Later, the officials went back to the hotel {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. When the door of his hotel room was opened, they {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the man had disappeared. The officials believed that it was impossible to jump out of the window because the room was on the highest floor.

The man was never {#blank#}10{#/blank#} again, and the mystery was never solved.
