Last winter vacation, my brother got a set of bedroom furniture for his thirteenth birthday. When it arrived, I helped my parents moved the 1  furniture to the garage（车库）. It was still in good condition. I thought it might be a chance for us to2 someone in our community. I started to search neighbors, anyone who 3 a bedroom set. Finally, my mom helped me call the local primary school. They told me about Jaila, the daughter of a poor single mother. I was given a telephone number and 4 and I soon found myself at Jaila's.

    The moment I went into Jaila's room, I knew I had taken on too big a task. When I pushed the old door open, it made a long high noise. But the door was nothing compared with the rest of the room. We sweated in Jaila's house for more than ten hours every day that week.

    The moment we finished, we called Jaila into the room. She jumped, laughed and hugged each of us. I turned to Jaila's mother, and saw she had tears running down her face.

    "Anna," Jaila called my name 9Yes？""Welcome to my new room!"

    When we saw how happy Jaila and her mother were, our tiredness disappeared into thin air. We are really10 to make a special experience of changing someone's life.

    Mr. Black works in an office. His memory is very poor and often 1 something. One day his son had a cold and he had to 2 him to hospital. I am John. In June 2018, my family took a plane to Manchester. We were going to visit my older sister because she was studying at a university there. 

On the first day, we woke up and took a bus to the airport. It was so early in the morning, so l slept on the bus. When I opened my eyes, we reached the airport. We had breakfast at a cafe there and then got on the plane. 

We reached Manchester in the evening and of course, everyone was very tired. No one felt like talking. 

Although l was tired and hungry, I felt thrilled. My sister and her friend warmly welcomed us and we had some tea at Starbucks. "Wow, I am in Manchester, " I said. You should imagine how great the feelings were. 

After that, we took a train to our apartment (公寓). I am not sure where it was but it was near the train station. I pushed the apartment door, and my mouth turned to an "O" shape. My sister is really good at choosing the best place for us to stay. I ran to a window and I could see Manchester, the park, some buildings, and there you go！ Instead of(代替) watching them on TV, I saw them right in front of my eyes!

My father was a tennis player and my sister is a high jumper at school. But I'm not interested in sports. At the beginning of this term，my PE teacher suggested that I should take part in the women's marathon（马拉松比赛）. 

I was very surprised because I was never a good runner. In order to encourage me，he said if I took part in the race，I would get the highest mark for the term's PE class. So I decided to have a try. I prepared for the race very hard. I ran every day and had the special diet（膳食）in the morning before school. 

When the day of the marathon arrived，I was very nervous. All my family wished me good luck. They knew how hard I practiced. I was worried that I would be last. However，when I started to run，I thought only about the race. I did not remember when I passed the other runners. Suddenly I realized that I had come first. I was very happy when I won the race. From this，I learned that success always comes out of hard work. 

Recently videos of a man dancing have become popular online. He is Ma Jiaolong, a Chinese dancer. Ma has nearly 5 million followers on Douyin, a short﹣ video platform（平台）in China. "I was surprised because I didn't think that the videos would go viral. " says the 35﹣year﹣old dancer. 

Ma began teaching Chinese classical （古典的） dance at Goldsmiths, University of London, three years ago. He started making videos when his teaching job was affected（受影响） by COVID﹣19. Like many other teachers, Ma had to give online classes. Besides teaching, he trained at home for at least two hours a day. However, Ma couldn't make big moves because his home was small. One day, Ma and his wife went to a supermarket and passed Greenwich Park. Ma's wife said to him, "Why not do some dance moves here that you couldn't do at home？" Then Ma jumped off the ground and did a dance move, which was filmed by his wife on her phone. 

"Back home, I sent the video to my friends. To my surprise, they loved it and I decided to share it online, " says Ma. Later, he made more short videos and put them online. 

After Ma's videos got popular, he got lots of messages from people around the world. "Now, making and sharing short videos has become a part of my life. Most importantly, it's a great way to show Chinese classical dance to more people. " says Ma. "It's always been my dream to offer people worldwide a chance to understand traditional Chinese culture. " Ma says.

 She made it by {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(cut) out 10 {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(leaf), two heads, and three antlers from pieces of copper sheet(铜片) and put them together with iron wires(铁丝) and glue. The hardest part was cutting the copper sheet {#blank#}9{#/blank#} it was too thick. Instead of using scissors, she ended up using a knife. It was very hard for ancient people {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(make) these kinds of decorations.
