The great pyramids of Egypt were built more than 4000 years ago as tombs for the pharaohs, or kings, of the time．

    When the core of the pyramid was finished, the outside was covered in a white stone called limestone．

    The peak of the pyramid was capped in gold．

    At the same time, laborers, masons and artists finished off the work inside．

    Each chamber was lined with fine stone．

    The walls were painted with scenes from the pharaoh's life, or the building of the pyramid．

    When the inside and the outside of the pyramid were finished, beautiful art works and goods for the pharaoh's next life were put in the chambers．

    Then, the mummy was placed in its special chamber．

    Finally, the passages to the chambers were filled with huge stones, and the openings were closed off and covered in limestone．

    We need animals. Every animal has its place in the balance(平衡) of nature. We should try to help save the animals.

    Some people think zoos are good places. The zoos give the animals the comfortable and safe living places. If the animals get hurt or ill, people will take care of them. The zoo is a good place to know the rules in the wild world. We can be much closer to nature. We can know more about the animals in the zoos by watching, listening even smelling instead of just looking at the pictures in books.

    Some people don't think animals feel happy in the zoos. Animals like pandas, wolves and bears usually live in the wild. They play and find food by themselves. They are free and happy in the wild. If they are in the zoos, food is enough and rooms are comfortable. They do not need to do their best to find food to eat or places to stay in. They just walk around, sleep day and night, but they are not free at all.

    I think we should build national parks as wild life nature reserves to protect animals. If we do nothing, animals will get fewer and fewer.

    Mr. Miller comes from America. He has two children, Dave and Anna. They live in Hangzhou now. Mr. Miller can speak Chinese. (1)He can do Chinese kung fu. Mr. Miller can swim and write stories. But Mrs. Miller can draw and play Chinese chess. They go swimming and play chess. On Sunday morning, Mr. Miller does Chinese kung fu. Dave and Anna like playing the guitar.
