There is a National Health Service in Britain. People usually call it "the NHS". When people are ill, they can get free treatment（治疗）. ① The government pays for the treatment. In Britain everyone has a local doctor. The local doctor is a general practitioner (全科医生)(GP). A GP is a doctor who treats patients with all kinds of illness. He may not have specialists (专家) usually work in hospitals.

    If a man is ill and wants to see his doctor, he calls to make an appointment first. If he is too ill and he can't go out, his doctor will come to his house. If the patient has to take medicine, the doctor gives him a prescription(处方). ② The patient has to pay some money for the prescription. He goes to the chemist's shop and buys the medicine there. The price is the same as any kind of medicine. ③But children, students, old people or people without work don't have to pay for their medicine

    My favorite teachers are learned(博学)teachers because they can make their lessons easy and interesting. And in class, after learning what is in the book, we hope to learn more.

    That's my favourite subject. I have lunch at 12:00 at school. After that, I have music. It's relaxing (令人放松的). I love my music teacher—Miss Morgan. She is beautiful and kind. She's my favourite teacher. All my classes finish(结束) at 2:00. After school I play tennis with my classmates. It's fun. I love sports. Then at around 4:00 I go home and do my homework.

    When you are in a group with good classmates, it can be very good for you. You should always be prepared when going to school, but there are days when you forget a pencil or a notebook. You can then borrow one from your classmate. If you're having trouble understanding a certain question, classmates can be quite helpful. Having a difficult math problem explained to you by a fellow student will be much easier than asking your teacher, because your teacher can't be always with you. Some teachers will not tell you homework if you've missed a class. Having a classmate who will let you review his note can help you a lot in a situation like this. If you happen to have a classmate who lives nearby, you might be able to carpool (拼车) to and from school. Not only will this save some money, but also it will help protect the environment as well. Students who enjoy their surroundings and get along well with their fellow classmates are usually much happier than those who are not.
