Amy wanted a mobile phone as her birthday gift, because most of her classmates had one, but she knew her parents couldn't afford it.

One day, when she woke up, she found a new mobile phone on her desk. How excited she was!This was the phone that had appeared in fashion magazines.

She played with the phone on the way to school. And the teacher was already there when she arrived at school. Amy was very embarrassed （尴尬的）. She looked at her new mobile phone and whispered （低语）, "I didn't want to be late …"

Everything changed with her thought. She went to school on time with her new mobile phone.

She was surprised at that. She turned on the phone and found there was a sentence on the screen, "Every dream will come true. " Since then, she always asks the phone for help. As a result, she has become lazier and lazier. Her teachers and parents were very disappointed with her and her classmates didn't like her any more.

When the term exams came, Amy asked the mobile phone for help again, but things turned bad. She got the lowest mark in the class. She wanted to throw it away, but when she did, the phone would come back into her hand. Amy was so scared （恐惧的）that she cried out, "I don't want the mobile phone any more. "

She woke up to find that the terrible experience had been just a dream.

You want to know about my stay in the UK, right? Well, to tell you the truth, it is really 1 fantastic experience to study here. I came to Woodpark School in London two months ago. Since then, I 2 in this school. I find that school life in the UK is very different from that in China.

In China, the first lesson begins at about eight o' clock and there are 3 lessons a day. The first lesson in the UK begins an hour 4 than that in China. Before the first lesson, students all wait in a special classroom. Then a teacher calls the roll(点名) to check if 5 has arrived on time. After that, students change classrooms. Everybody has his or her own course schedule. They go to different classrooms for different lessons instead of 6 in the same classroom. For example, if one's first lesson is Maths, he or she should go to the classroom for Maths.

Besides languages, Science, art, British students learn many 7 courses such as cooking and gardening at school. The boy in my host family once cooked Chinese soup for me. It really surprised me because it tasted as 8 as what my mum cooked.

How time flies! I have been in the UK 9 two months. I will study here fo another month. I am sure I 10 find out more differences in the future. Believe me!

I dreamed of being a football star when I was a high school student. During my first year there I was a very 1 boy. I was only 50kg. I joined in some football games but spent most of my time 2 on the bench (替补队员席). So I decided to do 3 . Drinking a lot of milk made me much 4 . Before the football season started, I thought I could make 5 succeed in being stronger at last. But I was soon 6 when I saw that I was still smaller than most of the other boys. 

During one of the 7 of the season, the teacher let me play first. I was 8 and jumped up and down. But I still lost. 

I lost many times. I hoped to be a 9 player. But finally I found that I couldn't make it 10 . For a long time I was really unhappy about this and thought about giving up. 11 as time went by, I knew that enjoying the feeling (感觉) of working hard was necessary. In fact, the 12 wasn't the most important thing. Now, my friend is celebrating for me in a party because I 13 a football game this morning. I didn't succeed before. It is the 14 time that I have won a football game. I succeed after lots of 15 . I never give up and fight on.

It's five o'clock. Then she hears the noise again. It's thunder(雷). Then she hears a different noise. It's the sound of something hitting the window. She gets up and goes to the window. She can see Tom standing outside in the rain. He's shouting at Jan, telling her to come outside. 

Jan gets dressed, puts on her anorak and goes downstairs quietly，trying not to wake Tom's parents. 

"What are you doing, Tom?"

"The storm, " he says. "It's the same storm as Thursday night. Let's go to the tree. Maybe you can go home!"

Jan follows Tom down the road then she remembers something. 

"The time capsule!"

Tom shows her the biscuit tin under his jacket. "I've got it. " And now maybe there's the possibility she can return to the future. Soon they come to the river and then the old building. They run up the path through the trees and arrive at the piece of land with the apple tree. 

"Now what do we do?" asks Jan. 

"I put the time capsule back where I found it and. "

Tom uses his hands to dig a hole by the tree. He buries the time capsule and then stands up. 

Jan suddenly thinks of something. 

"Tom! I wanted to give you something from the time capsule. "

"No. I don't want anything. It's more important for you to go home. "

Jan feels sad that Tom doesn't want something to remember her. But he's right. The important thing is to get home. 

"I'm never going to forget you, Tom. Thanks. You're a real friend. "

"Bye, Jan. Look for me in the future. Promise?"

"I promise. "

Then he turns and runs back to the trees. Jan watches his shadow disappear into the trees.
