This is Jim's room. It's not big, but it's very clean(干净的). There is a bed in the room. It's near the door. Under the bed, there are two balls. There is a desk and a chair near the window. There is a bookcase beside the desk. On the bookcase, there are many books and newspapers(报纸). There are two pictures in the room, too. They are on the wall.

    It's eight o'clock in the evening. The Wangs are at home. Mr. Wang is reading a newspaper. Mrs. Wang is washing the bowls in the kitchen. Alice is sitting on the floor. She's playing with her doll. Eric is drawing a monkey in his bedroom. Grandma is tired. She's sitting in the sofa. The TV is loud, but she's sleeping.

    It's 6:30 in the morning. I'm running around the park. Look! There are so many people here. Linda is doing morning exercises. Linda's brother is walking his dog. Little Tom is playing football with his friends. A big boy is listening to music under the tree. A man is cleaning the road. What are the old women doing? They are dancing! What a busy morning!

    Western people like to say "Thank you" when other people help them or say something kind to them. "Please" and "Thank you" are magic words that can show your good manners. You should say "Thank you" when someone passes you something. You should say "Thank you" too when someone walks ahead of you and keeps the door open for you. And also, when someone says you have done your work well, or you have bought a nice thing, or your city is very beautiful, you would say "Thank you". The magic words are not only for your friends, but also for your family.

    "Excuse me is another way to show your good manner. When you hear someone say "Excuse me" behind you, you will know somebody wants to pass by you without touching you. If some people are talking, it's impolite to interrupt them. You'd better say the magic words first, and then begin talking.

    Let's say more about these magic words "Thank you" "please" and "Excuse me" in our life.

Mike: Who is your art teacher?

John: Mrs Liu.

Mike: Is she young?

John: Yes. And she is kind.

Mike: Great! I like kind teachers.

    Look at the elephant. It is strong. It has a long nose. It has big teeth and big ears. Its ears are like fans (扇子). They work with their noses. Children like riding on the elephants.

    Look at the lion. It is sleeping. It likes eating meat. There are two pandas. They are fat. They eat bamboo. They are very cute. Many children like pandas. What animal do you like?
