Robots are very important in our daily life now. People like robots because they can do things for us. They can do housework. They can deal with data (处理数据) fast. Some people think robots can do everything nicely. But some things that are easy for us are difficult for robots. For example, robots have difficulty picking up things. This may make you feel surprised because even babies can pick up things easily. That's because our brains tell us how to use our hands to hold things. But robots can't understand these kinds of things. So they often break or drop things. 

Many scientists are trying to deal with this problem. Among them is Ken Goldberg from the University of California, Berkeley, the US. He has studied the problem for years. Finally, he came up with an answer to the question. He built a database for robots. All kinds of information about a thing, such as its size and shape, are in the database. Before a robot picks up a thing, it can find the information about the thing. In this way, the robot can pick up the thing easily. 

A myth(荒诞的说法) is something that is not right, but many people believe. There are a lot of myths about the human brain (大脑).

One of the biggest myths is that we only use 10 percent of our brains. The next part of the myth is that if we can learn to use the rest of our brains, then we' ll be much smarter. People say this all the time, but it's absolutely not true! The truth is that although we don't know everything about the human brain, we know that each part of plays an important function. Modern scientists think the"10 percent myth" silly(愚蠢的).

The other most popular myth is about being" right brained" or" left brained". According to this myth, people who use the right side of their brains are more artistic and creative. People who use the left side of their brains are better at math and science. This is as popular as the 10 percent myth, and it's also wrong. In 2013, a study at an American university examined the right brain and left brain myth. According to the study, we use both sides of our brains equally(相等地).

It's true that we use different parts of our brains for different things. We use our left side for language more, and our right side when we need to pay attention. But there is no fact that creative people use the right side more, or that scientific people use the left side more.

We' ve talked about myth, so let's look at a few interesting facts about the brain. First of all, the brain feels no pain. Second, about 75 percent of the brain is made of water. It's also the fattest organ in your body. Here's another interesting fact about the brain. Around the time you turn 18 years old, it stops growing.

Mr Guo is a teacher from Xi'an. He asked his students to hand in their homework through a QR code(二维码). "We spent an hour or two in class learning how to generate(产生) the codes, and in the end everything gets easier", said Guo. "When students finish the homework, they keep it on WeChat(微信).Then, each student makes his own QR code and gives it to me. So I can check their work everywhere using my computer or telephone."

The QR codes can be sent to Mr Guo by email, QQ and WeChat. When Guo scans(扫描) his students' QR codes, their homework appears on his phone. He finds that their homework becomes more creative(创新的), with many pictures, music and even videos.

Guo's students like the new way and think it is interesting. "We are living in the information age. Many students like to work with computers which makes learning more fun," said Tingting, a student of Guo's.

"The paper is not easy to keep, but the code is easy to keep and share," Guo said. "It is worth trying to use new technology in education. Education itself is a kind of creation. I don't want my students to fall behind the times."

However, some parents are worried. They are afraid that their children will spend too much time on computers and less time communicating with teachers. But in fact, it's unnecessary. Students still need to look up information in books and write it down when they do their homework. They only use the code when they hand in their work, which doesn't take them too much time. Also for teachers, it allows them to check the students' work at any time. And it's also an easy way to share homework with other students.

How to find and keep your friendship

Every one of us,rich or poor, should at least have one or two good friends. Your friends will listen to you when you speak, will take care of you when you are sick,and will be together with you in your journey through life. Everyone needs friends. Friendship can make us happier.

How can we find a good friend and get on well with each other? Here is some advice.

★Make friends with a person who is easy to get along with.

★You should make friends with a person who has something in common with you. If you have something in common with your friend,you will be interested in talking with him or her.

★Give your friend a hand when he or she is in trouble. Friends should always be ready to help each other.

★Believe in each other. This is the most important thing in a friendship.

★Even the best friends may have a quarrel (争吵) sometimes.If this happens,don't let your quarrel last too long. Try to make up with (和好) your friends soon.

Friendship is a kind of treasure in our life. It is like a bottle of wine(酒),because the longer it is kept,the better it will be.

How do you feel when you have to make a report in front of your classmate? What about when you go to a birthday party? Do you get 1 shy? Shyness means feeling nervous or 2 when you are round other people. Everyone experiences this shyness 3 they grow up. Most people have red faces and talk in broken sentences when they are in the center of attention. It's OK if it takes you a while to feel yourself again when you go to a new place or meet strangers. 4 , everybody gets a little shy sometimes. But many teenagers think that they hate themselves and that they won't fit in the future at coming point.

Many students find it hard to make good friends. To solve the problem, I plan to share my advice. 

Find chances to meet people. For example, sit somewhere with others when you are at school, especially at lunchtime. It doesn't have to be a crowded table, but try to choose one with at least two other people. Remember: Friends never knock on your door when you stay at home. 

        ▲   Joining in club activities is a great way to find other people who have the same hobbies as you. If you enjoy listening to music or singing, joining a music club is a good choice. More importantly, you can make friends there. 

Volunteer(自愿) for a group you care about. By working together, you can build friendships with others. You may spend your time at a hospital helping the people in need with other warm-hearted friends.
