My name is Zhou Dan. I'm a Chinese girl. I'm twelve. I'm in Class 1, Grade 4. There are 49 students in our class—29girls and 20 boys. We have six lessons every day. Today is Monday. We have Chinese, maths, English and PE in the morning, and science and music in the afternoon. I like English best. Mr Zhao is our English teacher. He is nice to us. We do all kinds of things in English in his class.

    I have three good friends. They are Linda, John and Danny. Linda is a girl. She has long hair and big eyes. She is beautiful. She likes toy rabbits. She has a white toy rabbit. It has long ears and small eyes. John is a boy. He has a big head. He has short hair. He has a toy plane. It's yellow. It can fly. Danny is a boy too. He has a small head. He has short hair and small eyes. He has a toy car. He can drive (驾驶) the toy car!

    This is Jim's school. There are 2100 pupils in the school. There is a very big playground in his school. There are lots of trees around the playground. So many students in the school like to play ball games on the playground. There are two tall buildings in the school. All of the pupils have classes there. And there is a library. It opens at eight every morning and closes at five every afternoon.

It's a rainy day. A woman with a dog gets on a bus. It's a big dog and it's feet are not clean. The conductor doesn't want the dog to sit on the chair. But the woman says to the conductor, "Oh, I will pay for my dog. Can he sit here like the other people?" The conductor looks at the dog and says, "Yes, madam, but like the other people, he must not put his feet on the chair."
