    Liang Juan lives in Huaizi, 1mountain village(山村). She had a bad disease(疾病) when she was 3 years old. She often shares her feelings 2 the Internet, 3no one knows she has never walked out of her home. She needs her mother's4to do almost everything because she can't stand up or5. But she can use her cell phone.

    Every day Liang's mother carries her from her bed 6 the living room, washes her face and combs her hair. Then Liang spends her day 7 in a chair when her mother is at work. Most of the time, she 8 TV. She learns to read and sing from TV. She is 9 good at cross stitch(十字绣). She doesn't tell her Internet friends about her disease because she doesn't want 10 to pity(同情) her.

 You're complaining to your parents about something. Maybe your computer isn't good enough to play the new games. Or your friends' bikes are better than yours. Then you hear...

" When I was at your age, there weren't any computer games or video games. And I didn't get a bike until I was 16. And it was a second- hand bike. Also it was too big for me!"

 So, is it really true that life is better for kids now? The answer is yes. Many kids can get more things than their parents. There are fewer children in a family now, so parents have more money to spend on each children.

 Technology started bringing many changes to our world after 1990. Thirty years ago, there were no small computers or different kinds of smart phones. But now some people even can't live without them!

 However, in this technology age, we often spend more time at home. Kids aren't as health y as they were in the past because they don't spend their time on exercise. They surf the Internet and watch TV in their free time. And, although young people still keep in touch with their friends, some people think kids today aren't as sociable as they were in the past.

It was a morning in June in Datong, Shanxi Province. Along the 1 , people were on their way to work. Suddenly, sweet music was 2 around the street. A woman wearing the 3 of a city cleaner was sitting on the street corner playing the saxophone (萨克斯管) . Beside her sat a beggar, eating noodles 4 a big smile on his face. 

Jia Fengxia first 5 the beggar in August 2011, when she was picking up plastic bottles along the street. The man saw Jia and passed 6 an empty bottle without speaking. Jia was very 7 and thought the man was kind. 

"He is always 8 food in wastes, " Jia said. "I was sad when I 9 saw that. " She always saw the man while doing her 10 , and began to think about how she could help him. 

The next time she saw him, Jia 11 him some noodles and sausage (香肠) . She also brought her saxophone. 12 the man was enjoying the food, Jia sat next to him, playing old songs on her saxophone. In March 2013, a local reporter took a 13 of Jia sitting next to the beggar playing the saxophone and posted the story on the Internet. 

The photo received great attention because the pair looked so 14 sitting on the street corner, wearing simple clothes. Many people praised Jia for helping those in need, calling her "The Most 15 Cleaner" in China.
