Mr. White's family decided to repair their house. Mr. White bought the house two and a half years ago. Since his kids were growing up, he and his wife wanted to make some changes to the house.

    They decided to knock down their living room wall to open up the space. When the wooden walls were moved, they were shocked to find a lizard (蜥蜴) stuck in the small space between the walls. The lizard's foot was stuck by a nail (钉子) which was knocked into the wall from the other side several months ago. However, they wondered how the lizard had survived so long without moving from that place.

    The family decided to wait for a while and see how the lizard survived several months without moving. While they were doing other things, they kept an eye on the lizard. The son, Ray, suddenly shouted, “Dad, look here!”

    Another lizard appeared, carrying food to the stuck lizard's mouth. That was a real surprise! Everyone was touched that the lizard fed the other one for all this time.

    Both lizards had never-ending hope for each other and carried their hearts with love and care. Why can't we humans always carry that kind of love in our hearts? Life is full of all kinds of difficulties. What we can do is to give our hand to the one in need and share our love. Sharing is caring.

    Black Spider（蜘蛛）was having trouble catching bugs（臭虫）in his web, while Grey Spider caught two bugs in his.

    “You are so lucky,” Black Spider said to Grey Spider. “You have two bugs while I have none. It's not fair(公平的).”

    “Everyone has lucky days and unlucky days. Let's eat the bugs together,” said Grey Spider.

    Black Spider decided to join Grey Spider for lunch.

    “You must do some special things to get lucky, is it magic?” Grey Spider whispered.

    “No, build your web!” said Black Spider. “Repair your web! Enlarge your web! Make your web wider!”

    “Is that all?”

    “Yes, build a new web!” said Grey Spider.

    After lunch, Black Spider went back and made a new web. He built his web wider. Once he was done he slept all through the night because he was very tired.

    In the morning, Black Spider was excited to see four bugs in his web. He told Grey Spider about it. Grey Spider smiled at Black Spider. “By enlarging your web, you have enlarged your possibility to catch all these bugs,” Grey Spider said. “There is chance all around us. Luck is everywhere. You need to work to make it so more good luck comes your way.”

    Long long time ago, the Creator created a man and a woman, they lived together very happily for a time. But then they began to get angry with each other, and at last the woman left and started off to the Sun land in the east.

    The man followed alone and felt very sad, but the woman kept on ahead and never looked behind, until the Creator, took pity on him and asked him if he was still angry with his wife. He said he was not, and the Creator then asked him if he would like to have her back again. He answered yes.

    So the Creator created a patch（一块）of the fine stripe（成熟的）tomatoes along the way in front of the woman，but she passed by like seeing nothing at all. Later，he put a patch of beautiful flowers but again she refused to notice. Until suddenly she saw in front of her a patch of large ripe strawberries. They looked delicious.

    She stopped to pick a few to eat，and as she ate them she turned her face to the west by accident，and at once she remembered her husband and she found herself unable to go on. She sat down，but the longer she waited，the more she missed her husband，and at last she took a lot of the best strawberries and started back along the way to give them to him. He met her kindly and they went home together.

    An old man went to live with his son, his daughter-in-law, and a four-year-old grandson. The old man's hands trembled(颤抖)，his eyesight was very poor, and he couldn't walk steadily(平稳地).The family ate together nightly at the dinner table.  But the elderly grandfather's shaky hands and failing sight made eating rather difficult. Rice often dropped on the floor.

    The son and the daughter-in-law became angry with the old man，so they put a small table in the corner. There，the grandfather ate alone, while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner at the table. Since the grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was put in a wooden bowl.

    The four-year-old son watched it all in silence. One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with a piece of wood on the floor. He asked the child sweetly, "What are you making?" The boy answered, "Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and mama to eat your food from when I grow up." The four-year-old son smiled and went back to work. The words struck the parents so that they were in silence. Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done. That evening the man took his father's hand and gently led him back to the family table.
