The Sanlin dragon dance has a history of more than 1,000 years. It became popular during the Ming Dynasty. Today, au Dajie heads the Sanlin Dragon Dance Team. He first heard stories about the dan c c from his grandfather and became interested at on c c. As a child, he often ran after the dragon dancers along the streets of Sanlin and tried to gleam the dance. 

As be grew up. Au gleamed more about dragon danced. In 1994, he set up the Sanlin Dragon Dance Team. The team has performed in France, Germany, Japan and many other countries. It has won more than 70 gold medals in competitions around the world. Many people say it's the best dragon dance team in China. If you visit Sanlin Old Street, you'll see the Sanlin Dragon Dance Exhibition（展览） Hall. There are many dragons in it and you can learn more about dragon danced. It would be a great way to celebrate the Year of long! 

When Sally was a child, she went to the city park with her mom on a sunny morning. She felt very unhappy. Her mom saw that and asked why. Sally told her mother that she felt so sorry to see so much rubbish on the ground. 

Her mom looked around. There were pieces of paper, boxes, glass bottles and a lot of other rubbish everywhere. "What can we do?" asked Sally sadly. "I'm sure you will think of something," said her mom. 

As soon as Sally got home with her mom, she painted a picture of the park and wrote a sign in large black letters at the top of the picture. The sign said, "PLEASE KEEP OUR PARK CLEAN". Later, she took plenty of bags and went back to the park with her mom. Sally put up her picture on a big rubbish box. 

The children at the park ran over to see what was going on. Sally handed each of them a bag. "Let's clean up this place," said Sally. Then they began to pick up the rubbish, talking and laughing. Soon, all the bags were full. 

Then Sally's mom led them to put the rubbish into different kinds of rubbish boxes. When they looked at the clean park, they all had a strong feeling of satisfaction. 

From then on, Sally has been keeping doing the cleaning and sorting (分类) rubbish. More and more people joined her to play a part in environment protection.

Do you know bamboo(竹子)？ It's always green in a year and it is everywhere in Bali. There are 1，450 kinds of bamboo around the world， but we only use seven kinds of them to make things. We can use bamboo to make things like beds， desks and chairs. 

My father uses bamboo to build Green School in Bali. In Green School， all of the rooms are made of bamboo. There are a lot of bamboo things in the classrooms. Every classroom has a bamboo blackboard， some bamboo desks and bamboo chairs. 

But every classroom has no windows, doors or walls. It only has a bamboo roof ， and you can see it when you look up in the classroom. 

Green School is very nice. Its students are from 40 countries. They have maths， English, art and music classes. In their free time, all students grow fruit and vegetables around the school. And they also keep pigs, sheep, chickens and ducks. A lot of food comes from their hands.

Do you know about schools in the US? Schools there begin in August after a long summer holiday. There are two terms in a school year. It's the same as Chinese schools. The first term is from August to December and the second is from January to June. 

Most children in the US begin to go to school when they are five years old. They are usually in primary school (小学) and middle school for twelve years. After middle school, most students are seventeen years old. 

Middle school students take only four or five subjects every term like English, maths, science. They are useful. Students have classes happily every day. ____ They need to write many book reports (报告) after school. To finish homework, they often go to the library. 

There are so many interesting activities and clubs. Some of them are about sports. Some are about music or art. Students usually have a good time from these after-school activities. 

After high school, many students go to universities. They usually have to pay a lot of money for their studies. So many university students have to work after class to make money.
