My name is Sam . I joined a club called  " passing help " last month . Now let me tell you why I joined it.

One evening this May, on my way home my old car was broken . It was 25 miles from my home . I wanted to get a ride, but there was no car . It was also hard to take a taxi . I decided to take a bus home .I went to a bus stop nearby .

    After a while , a bus came , but it did not go to my town .The bus driver was a young woman . She was kind and she told me which bus I should take . I waited there for about thirty minutes , but no bus came . At last a car came to me and a woman came out of the car .She was just the bus driver.

    "When I reached the bus station , I got to know that the bus to your town couldn't  come ,so I returned here.I just can't leave you here ," she said , " Get in my car and I will take you back to your home ."

    " It is a long way ."I said.

    " Come on ,sir, "she said ," Let's go."

    On the way she told me a story . A few days ago, there wasn't gas(汽油）in her car . An old man drove her up to a gas station and then back to her car.

    When we got to my home , I wanted to give her some money to thank her , but she didn't accept it . " I only want to help others and do something nice for somebody. Pass it along. " She said. 

Everyone has a dream about his or{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(she) future. Now I'll tell you my dream.

In twenty years' time, I'll become a beautiful woman{#blank#}2{#/blank#} long black hair and big eyes. I'll become an excellent English teacher{#blank#}3{#/blank#} a middle school. The students will be clever and hard-working. I'll tell them some funny English{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(story) and teach them different cultures. I'll also watch some English films with them. And I believe they'll be{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (interest) in English. Maybe I{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(have) a baby and a happy family. I'll teach my child{#blank#}7{#/blank#} to become a good man. And I'll also look after my parents{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(good). I'll be a good example to my child.

I think I'll be a{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(success) woman in twenty years' time. And I believe " No pain, no gain." I'll study hard{#blank#}10{#/blank#} a bright future.

When it comes to Chinese paper-cutting, many think of typical works like the Chinese characters Fu, meaning luck, or xi, meaning happiness. To change those stereotypes(固有印象) and make paper-cutting more creative, Ye Kaiyuan, a paper-cutting artist from Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, worked many years to make the traditional art more modern and fashionable.

 As a child, Ye would draw and cut. He even won second place in a national competition. In the summer of 2012, he held his first show of his own paper-cuttings. It turned out to be a great success.

 In the traditional way to the skill, cutting comes first, then dyeing(染色). But Ye tries to dye first and then cut. "This means you will not know the final color of your work, which is interesting," he said.

 For Ye, the lines in each paper-cutting are an expression of feelings. He always carries notebooks to write down his ideas. The idea for his work called A Picture of Two Fish came when he saw salted fish at a store. Other inspirations(灵感) come from his observation(观察) of things such as fruit and visits to different places.

 The creative process is slow. It took Ye two weeks to draw and make Farewell My Concubine(《霸王别姬》). He did not cut two of the characters in this story. Instead, he used flowers and curves(曲线) to represent Yu Ji — the heroine of the story.

 One day in class, the teacher stood at the front of the class. She held up a (an) 1 and said, "Please smell the smell in the air!"

 One student 2 his hand and said, "I can smell it. It is the smell of an apple."

 The teacher passed by each of the 3 and said, "Smell again to see if the smell of the apple is still in the air."

 The teacher went back to the 4 of the classroom and asked again if the students could smell the apple. Everyone raised their hand except(除了) one little  girl. The teacher came to the girl and asked, "You really can't smell the apple? Half of the students raised their hands to 5 that they could smell it.

 The girl answered, "No,I can't smell it. I don't think it's a 6 apple."

 The teacher smiled at the girl and said 7 to the class, "She is right! This is not a real apple."

 All of the other students'8 were wide (很大地) open. They also might have thought that the apple was not real, but they didn't have the self-confidence(自信) to 9 . They just followed(跟随) the first student 10 thinking.

 So don't feel afraid to say out your ideas.
