Hey, I'm a raccoon dog (貉), not a raccoon (浣熊), though we look similar. I used to live in the wild. But these days, I moved to the big. city of Shanghai and {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (become) a neighbor of humans.

These years, many raccoon dogs like me moved to cities. One big r{#blank#}2{#/blank#} is that the cities are greener. There are many p{#blank#}3{#/blank#} and pools in your neighborhood. I like to live near the bushes (灌木) and water, 

As for food, in the wild, I had to try hard to hunt for {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (mouse) and rabbits. But now. I can find food in trash cans (垃圾捅) . Many people f{#blank#}5{#/blank#} homeless cats. Sometimes, I also eat the tasty cat food. Life in the city is very comfortable and convenient. I'm getting much {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (fat)!

What's more, my human neighbors are k{#blank#}7{#/blank#}. They never drive me away, though they may not be very clear about w{#blank#}8{#/blank#} animal I am.

But there is also a problem. Scientists find about 3, 000-5, 000 of us in 300 communities (社区) in Shanghai. Some communities are crowded. Scientists hope some {#blank#}9{#/blank#} us could move to other places. They got smelly tiger urine (尿液) from the zoo and left it on the wall to scare us a{#blank#}10{#/blank#}. But I'm a clever raccoon dog. I was not fooled by it!

③ In West Africa, animals provide humans with more than food. They have been helping people do daily work for thousands of years. Horses, oxen, and other work animals pull heavy things. Elephants, camels and other animals carry people and things from place to place. Carrier pigeons (信鸽) have been used to send messages.

④ People also receive health benefits (利益) from animals. For example, dogs and cats can help calm people down. This is helpful for people fighting illnesses. Animals can also reduce stress, helping people to draw their attention to learning new information, such as reading. When people are walking their dogs or horses, it encourages exercise.

⑤ Animals and humans share space on Earth, so keeping a healthy relationship with animals around us is in our best interest.

 My name is Nora. I live with my parents and my sister. My sister is 6 and I am 13. My mom's name is Helen and my dad's name is Nick. We have a small milk farm. I have a pet(宠物) horse and a pet cat. Their names are Spirit and Firulais.

I get up at 6:00 a. m. and have breakfast at 6:30 a. m. After that, I go to school. I am at school from 7:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. In the afternoon, I play ping- pong and do my homework(家庭作业) with my friends. After dinner, I go for a walk in the park with my mother. I don't watch TV. I go to bed at 10:00 p. m.

③Some companion(陪伴) robots are able to help your grandparents live more happily. Among them, the robot named The Five should be one of the most excellent companion robots. It was made known to the public for the first time on September 24th, 2024. Different from other robots, The Five has got four legs with wheeled feet. Although its face looks small and strange, its powerful fingers enable it to lift an adult weighing 65 kg. It can help the elderly with many tasks including getting up, walking and carrying heavy objects. Although it hasn't been widely used yet, it has already been tested successfully in a nursing home. There is no doubt that The Five can bring much convenience(便利) to our life.

④However, there is still something robots can't do. For example, they don't have human feelings or creativity. Unable to think independently, they can only follow programmed instructions. Also, they are usually expensive to produce.

⑤As modern technology improves, robots will become more intelligent in the near future, and people will live an easier and more comfortable life.
