A young man went to a job interview in a big company. The director discovered that the young man's college grades were great. He wondered who paid for the young man's education. The young man told him that his parents did and they worked as clothes cleaners.

    The director found that the young man's hands were smooth and perfect. "Have you ever helped your parents wash clothes?" the director asked. "No. My parents always let me study. Besides, my parents can wash clothes faster than me."

    The director asked him to go back home and wash his parents' hands. When he got home, he asked his parents to let him clean their hands. His parents felt strange but happy. Then the young man began to clean their hands slowly.

    His tears fell as he did that. He found that his parents'hands were so old and pale because of long time in water. There were also so much hurt in their hands. He knew the hurt had much to do with his school fees (费用). After cleaning his parents' hands, the young man quietly washed all the rest clothes for them.

    The next morning, the young man went to the director's office. The director noticed the tears in the young man's eyes. He told the young man that he was accepted.

    Steve found a job on a farm. He's the strongest and youngest. He ate most, sleeps most, but worked 1.  He hated to use his 2 and knew little. He had to do some unskilled(无技巧的)  work. He always said he's tired and hoped to have a 3 rest. So he 4 less money than his workmates.

Before long, two {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (man) came along and brought the pigeons a large bag of food. When they had gone, the crow flew over to the pigeons. "Caw! Caw!" said he. "Can I help you?"

"No, you can't!" shouted the pigeons angrily. "We don't know you."

"The crow went home feeling sad. But he suddenly came up {#blank#}4{#/blank#} an idea. "I'll paint my feathers gray," he said, "and then the pigeons will think I am one of {#blank#}5{#/blank#}." After he did it, he flew off to {#blank#}6{#/blank#} park and was welcomed by the pigeons. The crow was so hungry {#blank#}7{#/blank#} he got very excited at the food. "Caw! Caw! Give lots to me!" he said loudly. Suddenly, the pigeons {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (find) he was a crow. They flew after him and made him away.

{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (sad), the crow flew to his own forest. But when his old friends saw him, they asked him to go away. They did not know him because of his gray-painted feathers. So the crow felt {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(bad) than before.

"What looks easier isn't always so," the crow said to himself. "I wish I had never painted my feathers gray!"

There was once a master living with his students. One day, one of his students asked, "Could I please get the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} of education?" The master said with a smile on his face, "Some day you will find out the answer {#blank#}2{#/blank#} ."

Several days later, the master gave a book to this student at night and ordered,"Put it on the chair in my room, please."It was dark in the room. The student entered the room with the book in his hand, but returned immediately(立刻) in {#blank#}3{#/blank#} . The master asked what had made him even turn pale. The student replied,"Here is a snake in your room. The master said calmly (冷静地). You go back. When you enter the room, shout aloud. The snake will be {#blank#}4{#/blank#} offer. Knowing it was impolite to talk back to his teacher, the student had no choice but to go into the room again, shouting aloud. However, the snake didn't {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . He came out again. This time the master handed him a lamp(灯) and said,"The snake must run away as soon as it sees the light."When the student entered the room for a(n) {#blank#}6{#/blank#} time with the lamp, he saw there was no snake {#blank#}7{#/blank#} on the floor at all. What had been troubling him was {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a long rope there. Because of {#blank#}9{#/blank#}, he mistook that rope for a snake. He didn't realize how stupid he was until then.

The master said, "See, this is the answer to your question. Only by the light of knowledge can we get the {#blank#}10{#/blank#}. This is exactly what education brings us."

Computers are useful machines. They can help people a lot in their life. For example, they can help people to save much time to do much work, and they can help people to work out many problems they can't do easily. Our country asks everyone to learn to use computers except the old people.

Today more and more families own computer. Parents buy computers for their children. They hope that computers can help them to improve their studies at school. But many of their children use computers to play games and watch videos. For most students, computers cannot help them to study better but make them fall behind. So computers are locked in boxes by parents.

In some other countries, even some scientists also hate computers. They say computers let millions of people lose their jobs or bring them a lot of trouble. Will computers really bring trouble to people or can they bring people happiness? It will be decided(被决定) by people themselves!
