    Tiny Tomatoes

    Tomatoes come in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. And the little tomatoes are some of the most fun to grow and are perhaps the most rewarding.
    Little tomatoes are classified into plum, cherry, grape or currant (醋栗) tomatoes.   {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Plum tomatoes are the largest of the groups listed, and currant tomatoes are the smallest. There are also differences in color, flavor and skin thickness, but these differences are more relative to specific varieties.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Plum, cherry and other small tomato types are fun to grow because they always produce abundant crops of flavorful fruit. They are fun to snack on while working in the garden or while daydreaming about working in the garden.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}They are typically sweeter than large tomatoes, and little tomatoes contain less juice and fewer seeds than large tomatoes.

    To grow little tomatoes, select a site that receives at least six to eight hours of full sun per day. Use a large container set in a sunny spot if a sunny planting site is otherwise unavailable.”

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}You could also plant seeds, but already-started plants will provide fruit much more quickly. Water infrequently to help plants grow deep roots before the heat of summer arrives.

Stop setting yourself up for stress and failure. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Make the following secrets fit your own needs and style, and start creating your own great life today!

    A great life is the result of simplifying your life. People often misunderstand what simplify means. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Instead, it's a way to free up your energy and time for the work that you enjoy and the purpose for which you are here. In order to create a great life, you will have to make room for it first.

    A great life is the result of removing distractions(分心之事). Up to 75% of your mental energy can be used in things that are not important but distracting you. Look around at someone's life you admire. What do they do that you would like to adopt in your own life? Ask them how they did it. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    A great life is the result of your adjustments. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}It may mean thinking about again how you spend your time, or choosing to spend your money in a different way. It may mean looking for new ways to spend your energy that agree with your particular definition of a great life.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#}There's the old saying everyone's familiar with "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". Maybe your teacher gave you too much homework. Or maybe a friend borrowed your favorite video game and then broke it. That made you angry!

    There are different ways people feel anger. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Are you breathing faster? Is your face bright red? Do you want to break something or hit someone? Anger can make you scream at those around you, even people you like or love.

    Some people keep their anger buried deep inside. If you do this, you might get a headache or your stomach might start to hurt. You may start to cry. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} You should find a way to let it out without hurting yourself or others.

    Don't lose control if you get angry {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Instead, admit to yourself that you are angry and try to know why. What can you do to keep the situation from happening again?     Violent Games: Fun or Harmful?

    If you play lots of video games, you've probably blown a zombie(僵尸) into tiny bits. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Many adults worry that playing such games could make children act violently in real life. Is that true?

The American Academy of Pediatrics(儿科) says that violence in any kind of media — from TV to music to video games — presents a risk to kids' health. A number of studies have shown a link between video games and aggression, including one published in JAMA Pediatrics in 2014, which found that kids who played violent video games showed an increase in aggressive thoughts and behaviors. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    But not all studies agree that violent games cause kids to act out. Another study replaced violent deaths with evaporation(蒸发) in a game. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} People who played the non-violent game without any training were more aggressive afterward than people who played the violent version but learned to control themselves first.

    And here's an even stranger fact: When violent video games are released, people carry out fewer violent crimes! Why? {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Steve Levitt, coauthor of the book Freakonomics, said, “If you can make video games fun enough, then kids will stop watching TV, and they'll stop going out and creating violent disorder on the street.”

What do you think? {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

A. One possible explanation: potential criminals are at home playing the new game.

B. Then, before playing the game, some people received training and others didn't.

D. For example, thinking it's OK to hit someone you don't like.

E. Have you ever played any violent video games?

F. Do violent video games cause bad behavior?

G. Some games even pile up dead bodies.
