I know my brother better than anyone else in the world. Since the moment of his birth, I've been part of his life. I had spent seven happy years in the world with the attention of those around me. But when Rohan was born, life changed. All of a sudden, I had to share my toys and there were no more bedtime stories or my own choice of food.

    Finally, I hated this small boy.The poor baby had no idea what had made me so unhappy. Maybe he found mestrange, the only person in this house who did not like him. Whatever the reason was, he loved following me around. However, I seldom talked to him and always asked him to leave me alone.

    Then all that changed. I hardly remember everything of that day six years ago, but I do remember that I was feeling very angry. Then I found myself in my brother's room. I couldn't help reaching my hand through the bars(栏杆) of his bed. At once, he reached his small hand and softly touched mine. And that was all I needed. Through all the unhappiness of the day, that one moment changed everything. How could I hate someone who made me feel so important? For the first time, I saw my brother through the eyes of a sister. Suddenly I realized love from my family was always with me.

    To this day, I can't imagine life without my brother. It is unbelievable(难以置信的) how much I have learned about life from a seven-year-old boy. Above all, Rohan has taught me that one should not care only for himself.

Once there was a young boy. He had no family except for an old llama. Each day the boy and his llama walked many miles, looking for a home. Each night they curled up (赌缩）and slept. But on one starry (满天星斗的）evening, the old llama died. The boy buried (埋葬）his friend next to a small icy river. Then he sat under a tree and cried. What would he do? He had no family and no home.

The boy cried for a very long time. But there was no one to comfort (安慰）him. There were only the stars in the sky.

Suddenly, the sky filled with bright light. The boy held his breath. He was afraid to move. One bright star fell to the ground. Slowly, the star took the shape of the old llama. She bent her head and drank from the river. She looked at the boy and smiled. As she jumped back into the sky, bits of llama wool fell. As the sun began to rise, the boy picked up the soft, warm wool. It gave out light in his hands like starlight. He carried the wool to the city and sold it. With the money, he bought a house. He bought two young llamas. He never forgot the star llama. And he was never lonely again.

    Mike is a factory worker. He is often very tired after a day's work. His wife, Jenny, has no job, so she stays at home to cook the meals. Every day he can have his dinner when he gets home from his factory.  

    One day, Mike came home very late because he was very busy in the factory. He was very hungry when he got home. He was not happy when he found his dinner was not ready. He was very angry with his wife. He shouted at her, "I'm going out to eat in a restaurant." "Wait for five minutes，" said his wife. "Why? Do you think that dinner will be ready in five minutes?" asked Mike. "Of course not," she answered. "But I can be ready to go with you in five minutes."    

I want to tell you about a very exciting holiday I had. Last December I went to the Ice Hotel with my father. It was in a village of Sweden. 

It was a special hotel made of ice and snow. I read an interesting report about this hotel in a travel magazine and I showed it to my father. He was so excited that we decided to go. 

It was like a dream. We were so surprised. Everything was made of ice. A woman at the door gave us special coats and gloves. We could use them to protect ourselves in the very cold place. There was a garden at the hotel. There we saw a lot of nice sculptures (雕塑). Some artists came to the Ice Hotel and they made them with ice. In the evening we ate at the hotel restaurant. They put the food on ice plates. We had some fantastic fish and a delicious dessert. Of course, it was ice cream!

There was a nice shop there too. I bought a sweater and a cap, but I didn't buy many things because they were very expensive. In the shop, I met a girl named Catherine. She is from France. She wanted to buy a sweater, but she didn't speak English, so I helped her. We became friends. Yesterday I got an email from her with several photos she took at the hotel. It was really a fantastic holiday.

●I made my weekly study plans and stuck to(坚持){#blank#}10{#/blank#}. These plans were achievable and gave me confidence to move on.
