I am a student. I like sports. I run every morning and I swim twice a week(一周两次). I like all kinds of ball games. I like football, basketball, volleyball, tennis and ping­pong. I am good at playing ping­pong. I often play ping­pong with my friend, Li Lei. We are on the school team. But he doesn't like any other ball game. He also likes to collect(收集)balls. He has a great collection(收藏品)of balls. He has 60 footballs, 16 volleyballs and many ping­pong balls. We like to watch sports on TV.

    There are four seasons in China. March, April and May make the spring. June, July and August make the summer season. September, October and November make the autumn season. The rest（剩下）of months make the winter season.

    The Australia seasons are the opposite（相反的）of ours. When it's spring in China, it is autumn in Australia.

    Australia is in the south（南方）of the earth. June, July and August are the winter months. The summer is in December, January and February. It's very hot there, too.

    Near the North Pole（北极）there are two seasons. The winter nights are long. For more than two months you can't see the sun, even at noon. The summer days are long. For more than two months, the sun never sets（落下）, and there's no night.

    Rose is a middle school student. She likes English very much and she does well in it. She often tells her father about her English. Now she is talking with her father.

Rose: Our English book is very nice. There are many interesting dialogues and nice pictures in it.

Father: DO you speak only English in class or does your teacher explain everything to you in Chinese?

Rose: Oh, no. We speak English for most of the time in class. So I must work hard at it.

Father: That's good! I'm sure you'll study better.

    The students in Grade Six are going to face（面临） the biggest exam（考试）. They study very hard. Every day they do a lot of exercises of Chinese, maths and English.

    Li Jun is a student in Class Two. He is good at English and maths. But his Chinese is not so good. So he has to do some reading after the homework.

    Li Yan is Li Jun's cousin. She is in Class Three. She likes singing and dancing. She's going to be a singer in the future. Every day, when she finishes her homework, she has to sing and dance for an hour.

    This is Jane's bedroom. I can see (看见) a desk, a bed and a chair in it. There's (有) a clock and some books on the desk. I can see a toy panda and two dolls on the bed. I can see a bag on the chair. Jane is in the bedroom now. Her mother and father are in the living room.
