One day Mr. and Mrs. White went shopping by car. They stopped their car near a shop. They bought(买)a lot of things and they wanted to put the things into the car. But Mr. White couldn't open the door of the car, so they asked a policeman for help. The policeman was very friendly. He started to open the car for them. Just then a man came up and shouted(喊), “What are you doing with my car?”Mr. and Mrs. White had a look at the car's number and they were frozen(惊呆了) there. It wasn't their car.

    It's September 13th today. It's my birthday. I get up early at 5:30 in the morning. After breakfast, I go to the park with my parents. We take many photos. In the afternoon, my father buys a big birthday cake for me. My friends make many beautiful cards for me. We eat the birthday cake together. I am very happy.

    I'm Tom. I'm a healthy boy. I play sports every day when I come back from school. My habits(习惯) are very good. I try to eat a lot of vegetables. I eat fruits and drink milk every day. I never drink coffee. Of course, I like junk food. But I seldom(很少) eat it. Oh, I sleep nine hours every night. So I do well in my study. Good food and exercise help me study well.

    I am Chen Jie. I usually get up at 7 o'clock but not on the weekend. I go to school at 7:30. We have four classes in the morning and three classes in the afternoon. I like Chinese very much. We have a Chinese class at 9:30. I go home at 5:30 pm. I eat dinner at 6:30 pm. Then I do my homework at nine o'clock.

    Mike is from America. He is twelve years old. His father, Mr. Brown works in a big shop in Beijing. Mike has a sister. Her name is Lucy. She is only four years old.

It is Sunday today. Mike's family are all at home. Mr. Brown is sitting in a chair and reading today's newspaper. Mrs. Brown is cooking in the kitchen. Mike is cleaning his new bike. Where is Lucy? She is playing with her dog. What a happy family!

During the day we work and play, and at night we sleep. Sleep is very important. We spend about one third of our life sleeping. Our bodies rest when we sleep, so we feel fresh and energetic (精力旺盛的) the next day. Our bodies grow most when we are asleep. Children (from eight to nine) need ten hours of sleep every night. They can be better at their lessons if they have a good night's sleep.

We need plenty of air when we sleep. If not, we will feel tired when we wake up. It's a good idea to sleep with the window open, so we can have plenty of fresh air. When we are sleeping, we mustn't cover our heads or we cannot breathe (呼吸) well.
