Maxime and Lise are a young French couple. They are ready to travel across China from Beijing to Yunnan Province on a tandem bicycle (双人自行车). They have two main purposes and one of them is that they want to encourage green 1 through it.

    Maxime, 26, works helping farmers raise their cows, 2his wife Lise, 26, is a teacher. The two also like sharing their travel stores on Facebook.

    We chose a tandem bicycle because it makes it 3 to communicate with each other about interesting people and things we come across during the journey. 4, bicycling is healthier. And it's a cheaper and more environment-friendly way of traveling than 5 cars, motors and so on, “the couple said.

    As for the other 6of their journey, the two said they wanted to get people's good ideas on topics such as health, econnmy (经济) and politics. When they were asked 7they chose to visit China, they said it was because they often talked about its long history and beauty and how much of the country is competitive (有竞争力的) in the world.

    We know China is a country with a large population and will be the 8 of the economy around the world in the future. We want to get a better understanding of the country and its people. We 9the country,” they said.

    The couple will be on the journey to China soon. We hope they can make more people further 10 China by shairing what they see and hear on the way. Meanwhile. We hope they enjoy their travel in China.

    The best experience of my life was when we went to Stonehenge. We went there on a group tour.

    When I saw Stonehenge, my first 1 was that it was huge. You know, Stonehenge is about 5, 000 years old. I 2 how the ancient people moved these huge pieces of stone. After we parked(停车) at the Stonehenge parking lot, our guide Nick took us to a 3shop. There my mum got a nice painting of Stonehenge. After we left the gift shop, we went to Stonehenge 4the tunnel.

    That was a privilege(优惠待遇)at Stonehenge 5we were able to go right up to the stones and touch them. Usually visitors 6get really close and touch the stones. At Stonehenge we walked around the circle and then 7the ceremonial(仪式的) centre. There we were given half a(n) 8 to look around and explore.9 30 minutes we got ready to leave. It was 10 that we had to leave Stonehenge.

    Hopefully, one day I'll go back.

    It was thesummer before my third grade. Our girls' softball team was facing real pitchers(投球手)1thefirst time. Before that, we could just hit the ball on the tee (球座).  Thomas was diagnosed(诊断) a serious illness. He was so sad and hoped that he refused any medical treatment. You didn't want to be a burden(负担) of his family.

"Yes, my guitar and mirror are two things I value most! Music is the {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(funny) of all things in the world." the blind mar answered. "But you can't see anything. What does this mirror mean to you?" Thomas couldn't wait {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(ask). The blind man smiled, "The mirror is a hope for me. I wish I can see my face one day."

 Thomas {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(touch) by what the blind man said. "A blind man could even love life so much, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} I..." Suddenly, he got a complete understanding and {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(quIet) returned to the hospital. From then on, Thomas realized that sunny mind mattered most in daily life

Like many kids, last summer I learned to ride a bike. Only I am in my 30s. When I was a child, I had no one to teach me. My mom never learned. My parents were apart when I was four, and before my father left us, he bought a bicycle for my brother and me to share.

My mom later remarried. Other kids would laugh at my brother and me because we were the only ones older than six and still depended on training wheels. My stepfather removed them, but in doing that, I lost interest and trust in riding the bicycle. I was so scared to fall off. I thought I was too old to learn too. After all, I was 8 at that time. Not knowing how to ride didn't let me down at first, until we moved outside the center of our city. In this area, bicycles were popular. When I went to the store to buy candies with my friends, I was always the last to arrive, on foot. By then, I was 12 years old.

In my early 30s, I remember how I felt when I watched my neighbors' children, as young as three, learn to ride on bikes. Then something changed. The fear was still there, but something much stronger appeared. I joined a women's bike-riding club. There, I stood in a city park, decided to control my fear. In the club, I met women from different backgrounds, and they were all finding riding skills for kinds of reasons. It made me feel like being more powerful. Not long after, I was riding confidently.

Filled with the joy of riding, I bought my own bike. It wasn't simply a bike. It was also a chance I missed earlier. Every day, when I rode out, I enjoyed the beauty of the nature and the wind on my face. Buying a bike was an investment (投资) in transportation. And it was an investment in reconnecting with my past childhood memory.
