The English teacher came into the classroom with test papers in his hands. He said with a smile, "I know there are too many tests for you these days, but the test today is very1 .It is different from your other tests." The teacher started to hand out the test papers to each student.

There was only a small black " X " in the middle of the paper. The students were very 2 to see that.The teacher noticed the students' surprise.Then he said, "I want you to 3 what you see there. You must finish it by yoursclves."

Mr. Han was a teacher of English. There was a large international gym near his home. On a sunny Saturday afternoon Mr. Han was taking his two little boys to play tennis in the gym. He walked up to the American man at the ticket box and asked, "How much is it to get in?"

"Nine yuan for you and nine yuan for any child over six years old," the American man answered. "We will let them in for free if they are six or younger. How old are they?"

Mr. Han said, "The younger one is three and the other one is seven, so I think I should give you eighteen yuan."

The American man said with a surprised look on his face, "Hey, did you win the lottery （彩票）or something? You need to give me only nine yuan if you tell me the older one is six. You see, I don't check your ID cards （身份证） today. And the man at the ticket gate won't either（也不）. In fact, it is difficult for anyone to tell the difference between kids of six and seven."

"Yes, that may be true, but the children would know the difference." Mr. Han said. "And that is the most important thing."

This is a tale of two friends—one is blind, the other has no arms. On their own, the two are "disabled". But together, they are a powerful team that has changed part of their village in North China's Hebei Province into a rich, green forest. Meet 53-year-old Jia Haixia and Jia Wenqi! 

Their story began in 2000, when Haixia, who was already blind in his right eye, lost his left one after an illness. Wenqi lost his arms in an accident when he was just three. Neither could. find a job, so the two decided to team up. They rented some poor land and began to plant trees. In return, the local officials paid them a small fee. 

Haixia and Wenqi never imagined that they would end up creating an environmental paradise. Their forest now has over 10,000 trees, hundreds of birds and many other wild animals. In addition, it saves the village from river flooding during the rainy season. 

When the friends work together, they focus on their strengths not their disabilities. Their day begins at 7 a. m. when the sightless Haixia carries Wenqi across the river to get to their worksite. Since they cannot afford to buy young trees to plant, the two use branches from existing trees. Haixia climbs to the tree-top and with Wenqi's direction, selects the perfect branch. He then digs a hole and carefully plants it. Finally, Wenqi waters the area. 

Though hard-working, the men don't make much money. But as Wenqi puts it, "We stand on our own feet. so the fruits of our work taste sweeter. "

Neither Haixia nor Wenqi cares about money. Together, they already have everything they need—a perfect pair of eyes, two strong hands, and the best friendship in the world! 

①Almost every kid on the planet loves snacks, but they seldom care how unhealthy those snacks are. Some snacks like chocolate and candies are found everywhere, however, others are unique to a country or a culture.

③Potato chips and French fries are very popular in the US. They are cheap but tasty. But they are high in calories and eating too much may make you fat. Popcorn is another typical snack. People eat it when they are watching sports games or visiting the amusement park. Most cinemas also sell popcorn. 

④In the UK, many people sit down for snacks at around 4 pm every day. They call it"afternoon tea". Traditional afternoon tea is biscuits and tea. People also have scones(烤饼) with jam and cream, which is probably the most classical English snack. Potato chips and French fries are popular in the UK too. 

⑤Do you want to eat snacks in a healthy way? Here are some helpful tips. Have a look! A handful of walnuts (核桃) are great for your brain. But a whole bag will add nothing but fat. If you're crazy about chocolate, try a hot chocolate drink instead of a chocolate bar. Don't eat too many snacks after dinner. 

Before I was in Grade Six, I was always the worst student in my class. But things became 1 . That's all because a new teacher, Miss Sadia, came to my school. 

One day after 2 , she found that I didn't have lunch with my classmates, but eating alone(独自). 3 she came to me and began to talk to me. After that day, she gave me particular(特别的) 4 . I started to work hard because she gave me the feeling that someone believed in me. Her encouragement(鼓励) 5 me a lot. At the 6 of my first term in Grade Six, I came second in my class.

I'm a foreign student at Ningbo University. Can you guess what I'm majoring in? It's Chinese Language and Literature! When I was young, I found a book in the library, Journey to the West. The story about Tang Monk and his three disciples (徒弟) was so fascinating. After I finished high school, I decided to come to China. But my parents didn't understand me. In their minds, China was still a developing country, and they couldn't see why I would like to go there. This July, China had a 72/144-hour visa-free (免签) policy for foreigners, so I invited my parents to travel in China.

We started our journey from Ningbo where Ningbo University is located. We went to Tianyige Museum, China's oldest private library and the Moon Lake Park, feeling the rich history of China. After that, we flew to Chengdu. We visited cute giant pandas and even had the chance to feed them bamboo. We also tried the delicious and spicy Sichuan hot pot, which was truly a unique experience. Finally, we took the high-speed train to Beijing. The train ride was smooth, quiet, and fast. Both my parents and I enjoyed the ride very much. In Beijing, we visited the Forbidden City and Tian'an men Square. Beijing is a modern city, yet it still has its ancient beauty.

On the way to the airport, my mother left her passport on the subway. Thankfully, the subway staff were very friendly and quickly found the lost passport. They even delivered it to the airport for us. When it came time for our tearful goodbye, my parents said to me, "Now we understand your choice, and we fully support you."
