Every day after school, Jack locked himself in his bedroom. He was working on a(n)1project. He didn't tell anyone what he was doing, not even his best friend Larry.

    Jack finally 2. He made a robot. It looked like Jack. The robot had orange hair and wore glasses. The robot and Jack both talked in a special voice. "Life is going to be 3 now!" shouted Jack. "I will send my robot to school while I will 4 at home and play."

    The next morning the robot ate breakfast. Then, he took the bus to school. After school, the bus sent the robot back home. The robot knocked on the door.

    Prana, our beautiful dog, isn't with us anymore. She died several years ago. But while sharing our home, she brought so much joy and love into our lives that we still 1 her.

    It was an autumn day in Minnesota, US. We were 2 by a big snowfall for which no one was prepared. We have two 3 trees in our backyard. Prana loved apples. Now Zhang Jing is one of {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(great) interpreters(口译者) in China. In fact, working as an interpreter {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (be) very difficult. You should be good at English. At the same time, you must think fast. Zhang does {#blank#}10{#/blank#} good job as an interpreter, and it helps her win a lot of fans in China.

It's a Sunday morning. Isabella and her best friend William are playing in a park. They are looking for yellow eggs. Their parents tell them the yellow eggs are very difficult to find! They walk here and there, and William finds five white eggs. Isabella finds two blue eggs and four red eggs. But they don't see any yellow ones. Then William walks to some bushes (灌木) to try to find one.

What a good find! 

My home town Nanning is famous as the Green City. It's in the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} of Guangxi. As the capital city, it has a population of over 

8.8 million. It's {#blank#}2{#/blank#} than any other city in Guangxi. What makes my home town great? Let me show you some {#blank#}3{#/blank#} about it.

 The first photo is about the Qingxiushan Park. It's beautiful {#blank#}4{#/blank#} flowers, hills and lakes. Most people enjoy many lovely flowers in different seasons there. Because the weather is very hot in summer but{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. very cold in winter.

 On the second photo, people are choosing fresh fruit in the busy market. We can buy it from southeast Asian {#blank#}6{#/blank#}, ve are in a food paradise (天堂). Delicious local foods are {#blank#}7{#/blank#}, such as sour food(酸嘢), Old Friend Rice Noodles and Lemon Duck.

Look at the third photo. Zhuang people are {#blank#}8{#/blank#} folk songs during the Sanyuesan Festival. It's the special and enjoyable festival here..

 In the last photo, people are very {#blank#}9{#/blank#} to the visitors. They are always willing to lend a helping hand.

 Nanning means a' lot to me and it makes me {#blank#}10{#/blank#} who I am today. It is the perfect place in my heart.

My best friend, Connie, is two years older than me. We spend a lot of time together.

Connie has long dark brown hair and her 1 are big and round. People say she is beautiful and looks like a doll. When we go out, people often think that I am 2 than her because she is shorter and slimmer (更苗条的).

Connie is positive (乐观的) even 3 things go wrong. Last week she 4 her examination results which were not very good. I thought she was going to be sad. Instead she simply decided 5 better next time. Then, every day after class, if teachers are free in 6 offices, she will ask them for help.
