Why is setting goals(目标)important? Because goals can help you do and experience everything you want in life. Instead of just letting life happen to you, goals allow you to make your life happen. Successful people in life imagine how their life should be and set lots of goals. It's like having a sign to show you where you want to go. Think of it in this way. There are two drivers. One has a place to go to clearly in mind which can be found on a map. He can drive straight there surely without any wasted time. The other driver has no goal, or a map.But he drives aimlessly(无目的地) around, never getting anywhere, just using up oil. Which driver do you want to be?
They decide what they want in life and then get there by setting goals and making plans. Unsuccessful people just let life happen by accident. Goals aren't difficult to set, and they aren't difficult to reach. You are the one who must decide what to achieve and in what direction to aim your life.
Research tells us that when we write a goal down we are more likely to achieve it. They are harder to forget. Also when you write your goals in your own way, you are able to make yourself realize situations that will bring you nearer to your goals.

How to pick a great book to read
The world is full of great books just waiting to be read. How can you pick one you'll really like.
Here are some tips:
What makes you happy?
{#blank#}1{#/blank#}Are you really into dinosaurs or dogs or a film star? Are there a few careers you're interested in? You can find books about almost anything you like, and you're more likely to enjoy reading a book if you're already interested in its subject.
Fact and fiction?
Some books are entirely made up and imagined Those are called fiction books{#blank#}2{#/blank#} Non-fiction books tell stories using facts—but that doesn't mean they're boring. Non-fiction books can bring everything to life. From the first trip to the moon to what it's like to explore the deepest oceans. Try both fiction and non-fiction books to see which you like better.
{#blank#}3{#/blank#}What was your mother's favorite book when she was your age or your dads? Ask them and give it a read. Then you can talk about what they liked about it and share your thoughts. It's a fun way to get to know your family a little better, and to find a book you'll enjoy!

Your local library is a great place to find books that you'll love, and you don't have to search them by yourself.

{#blank#}1{#/blank#}⑴The most unusual museum in London is the Science Museum. In most museums, there's no shouting and no running, and people aren't allowed to touch the exhibits (陈设品). But the Science Museum is different. It's noisy! People can talk about what they will see and do there, and some of the machines are noisy as well.
{#blank#}2{#/blank#}⑵When I visit the Science Museum, I go to the Launchpad (发射台). This is the most popular room because there are lots of physics tests. We can also learn how astronauts travel into space and back again here. I'm really interested in those kinds of things, so it is my favorite room.
{#blank#}3{#/blank#}⑶On the second floor there is Human and Nature room. We can compare our speed with animals there. If we aren't quick enough, the lion will catch us! There are also rooms on transport, the environment and space technology, as well as math, physics and chemistry.
{#blank#}4{#/blank#}⑷We can do a lot of things in this museum, but we have to obey some rules as well. For example, we mustn't take photos of the exhibits in the museum. But we can buy postcards of them in the museum shops.
{#blank#}5{#/blank#}⑸Most important of all, the Science Museum is free. That means we can drop by for a few minutes or we can stay as long as we like—it's open from 10: 00 a. m. to 6: 00 p. m.every day except Monday. So if you go to London, make sure you visit the Science Museum. It's my favorite museum in the whole world.
The Science Museum in {#blank#}6{#/blank#} Opening times: 10: 00 a. m.-6: 00p. m. every day except {#blank#}7{#/blank#} Fees (费用): It's {#blank#}8{#/blank#}! Stay inside as long as you like!
