"What's the matter, mum?" As soon as I enter(进入) the door, I find that my mother is  1. It's unusual--she usually opens the door and welcomes me with 2.

Some young people couldn't bear the intensity(紧张) and chose to drink to escape（逃避）.

    In Pleasure, the motto（格言） was: If only you like it, do it. People grew up without pressure and could do anything they liked. Children played computer games day and night. At school, teachers didn't care 3 students came or not. Workers might sit around the office all day long drinking coffee and doing 4 .Thanks to the lack（缺乏） of regulations（规章制度）, nobody worried about losing their jobs. It was pleasure that mattered. The computers they used were old ones from the town of Pressure.

    Some of the young were addicted（上瘾） to drugs（药物）5 the emptiness（空虚） of their lives. Then, people in the two towns began asking themselves, “What is life 6 ?” But, just before life in the two towns completely7, there came a great person—Mr Reason. He went from door to door, talking with people and 8 advice. People in Pressure learnt to be satisfied with what they had 9 people in Pleasure began to make plans. They 10the walls between them and built a road to connect the two.

    10-year-old Penny goes back to her school to find a place for her dog Socks. The big door is 1. Penny walks around the school: there were doors at the 2. They are all locked. Then she sees a window. It is open. She 3 inside. She walks along the hallway between the classrooms. She can't put Socks inside a classroom.

    Under the classrooms, Penny finds a store room. It is locked, too, and she doesn't have the 4. Penny puts Socks on the ground and he runs along the hallway. Penny runs after him. “Come here,” she says. Socks is not 5. He runs into the girls' changing room.

    Thirteen years ago, my sister, a very beautiful girl, was born. _1_, we were later told that this little girl, who was three and a half months premature（早产的）, would only have 14 days on the earth.     In the new sci-fi film. The Wandering Earth《流浪地球》, humans save the Earth without leaving it. In many-even most-space-themed films, whenever Earth faces a disaster(灾难), the1 is always running away from the planet in spaceships.

    But the latest Chinese sci-fi movie, The Wandering Earth, offers a different and more ambitious idea. In the film, based on a short story by Chinese sci-fi writer Liu Cixin, Earth is in danger of being destroyed by the dying sun. In reply, humans around the world work 2 to build a huge engine system that will push Earth away from the dying sun.3 giving up Earth-again-this time we're taking it with us.

    This "ambition" didn't come from nowhere. For thousands of years," homeland" has had a soft point in 4 of Chinese people. One old idiom is "luoyeguigen", which means returning to one's homeland at the old age, like 5 leaves return to the roots of their trees. Or there is an ancient poem, "The season called the White Dew begins tonight: Nowhere as in our native place is the moon so bright".     This special cultural background is probably the key 7separates The Wandering Earth from Hollywood-style space films.

    "What is Chinese sci-fi?"Guo Fan, the film's director, said in an interview. "A movie that can really 8our cultural and spiritual view can be called Chinese sci-fi. Or, we're just copying others and telling the same American stories."

    And the makers of The Wandering Earth may have chosen the best time to tell its Chinese sci-fi story. The film was released on Feb 5^th, the first day of Chinese New Year. It was a time when many people had just made the 9journey back to their hometowns.

    So to them, there is only one possible way to tell the story. Earth10wherever humans go, because it's our home forever.
