Failure is a word that no one wants to hear. It is human beings' biggest fear yet it is faced by every human being. Sometimes, people's fear of it is their biggest barrier to success.  Here are some tips which can help you get on the positive side of life.

Never give up. Before starting anything that you think will give you success, promise yourself that you will never give up.  Remember that it is never too late to do so.

This is the opportunity that you should not let go of. Suppose you are on a football ground. You strike the ball for 9 times in a row and fail. But at the tenth attempt, you succeed. The tenth attempt proves that you have somehow learnt from your mistakes.

Never think that you've got only one plan. The worst thing you can do after failing in some project is thinking that it was the only plan you could ever think of.  If Plan A fails, turn to Plan B or Plan C. If you are into achieving something, no one or nothing in this world can stop you.

This is the most important thing that you need to live a happy life. Always think positive. Never let yourself down. Positivity is all we need to grow and establish ourselves in this world

A. Keep on trying.

B. Keep a positive attitude.

C. Learn from your mistakes.

D. There is always another way.

E. Therefore, you need to learn how to deal with failure.

F. Just as the saying goes, failure is the mother of success.

G. This promise helps make your mind ready for both failure and success.

任务型阅读

A strong memory depends on the health and vitality(活力)of your brain. They say that you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but when it comes to the brain, scientists have discovered that this old saying simply isn't true. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

    Give your brain a workout. Memory, like muscular strength, requires you to “use it or lose it”. The more you work out your brain, the better you'll be able to process and remember information.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

Don't skip the physical exercise. While mental exercise is important for brain health, that doesn't mean you never need to break a sweat. Physical exercise helps your brain stay sharp. It increases oxygen to your brain and reduces the risk for disorders that lead to memory loss.

Get enough sleep. There is a big difference between the amount of sleep you can get by on and the amount you need to function at your best. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

Keep stress in check. Stress is one of the brain's worst enemies. Over time, stress destroys brain cells. Studies have also linked stress to memory loss.

Have a laugh. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} That holds true for the brain and the memory, as well as the body. Unlike emotional responses, which are limited to specific areas of the brain, laughter engages multiple regions across the whole brain.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#} Just as the body needs fuel, so does the brain. You probably already know that a diet based on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, “healthy” fats and lean protein will provide lots of health benefits, but such a diet can also improve memory. For brain health, though, it's not just what you eat—it's also what you don't eat.

A. Eat a brain-boosting diet.

B. Play games with memory.

C. Laughter is the best medicine.

D. But oversleeping is not good for your brain.

E. Even skipping a few hours makes a difference!

F. You have to shake things up from time to time!

G. The human brain has an astonishing ability to adapt and change.

What gives your life meaning? It is an important and natural practical question that we all ask ourselves at times. It circles around the notion of having a purpose and a reason to wake up and move forward in our lives. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Is it time to bring it back on track? Here's how to get started.

Treat your depression

Your depression empties your energy and damages your motivation. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Therefore, the key here is taking action no matter what you start with: tackling the depression directly through taking medicines or consulting doctors to get you moving forward. What the action is matters less than taking action itself.

Get out of your head into your emotion

If you are heavily driven by what you should do, you need to start rewiring your brain to use your emotions as information. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Once you notice them, do something concrete with them - again, act. That is how you learn to trust your emotions and use them to guide you, and how you rewire your brain.

Explore, experiment

You can't figure out your sense of purpose by sitting on the couch and thinking it over. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} You also need to focus on doing different experiments with being bold, and taking acceptable risks.

The path to discovering or reigniting your sense of purpose is not about making a new decision but focusing on the process that leads to that decision. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

A. Hence, your emotions are your source of passion, desire, and energy.

B. It may be caused by physical or emotional limitations that take away joy.

C. However, for many, that sense of purpose has been absent for long stretches.

D. Without them, you don't make the changes that can pull you out of the depression.

E. Instead, you need to explore, try things and see what sticks, what works, what doesn't.

F. Start by focusing on those slightest feelings telling you what you want and don't want.

G. Therefore, you need to clear away obstacles that keep you from acting and moving forward.
