Beijing (CNN) reported that on the December 31st 2014, there were so many people on the beautiful beaches of Shanghai. When the people{#blank#}1{#/blank#}themselves, there were so many people that a terrible tragedy(惨剧) took place suddenly. Thirty-six people{#blank#}2{#/blank#}their lives in this accident. The victims(遇难者) were young, with an average age of just 22. The oldest was 37, the youngest was only 12. Witnesses(目击者) have{#blank#}3{#/blank#}what they saw on the beaches. There are many different voices about the reason of this accident. The real reason of it is being{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. We all believe that we will get the truth one day. President Xi Jinping has called for a full and immediate investigation(调查) into the cause of the tragedy. Xi called for all-out efforts to help the injured. President Xi said governments across the country should{#blank#}5{#/blank#}measures(措施) in order to better protect public safety during major public holidays and celebrations.

    When I looked through my old photos last Sunday, one photo {#blank#}1{#/blank#} my eyes. In the photo, I was sitting in a chair, hugging Duke, my best friend in the whole world.

    Duke was an interesting name for such a little dog. But he was my friend from the moment I could walk. He stayed with me when I read books. When I went outside playing games, he always drove our cats up to the trees and then walked off feeling proud of himself.
