What's the most popular school activity among American students? The{#blank#}1{#/blank#} is the school dance. Most American high schools have at least two dances {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the year, one in winter and the other in spring. Students attend these events {#blank#}3{#/blank#} it's a great opportunity for them to meet {#blank#}4{#/blank#} friends.
At the dance, there will be snacks and photo booths (机器拍照亭), as well as strict（严格的） rules to {#blank#}5{#/blank#} create a healthy and enjoyable evening for all students. And all the dancers will be given a security check（安检）before they come into the dance {#blank#}6{#/blank#} . This is acceptable. But some rules may be a little bit over the top（过分). For example, a school once asked {#blank#}7{#/blank#} students to keep a standing position while they were dancing. That {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the students couldn't do anything freely. You'd {#blank#}9{#/blank#} not break the rules because you'll be asked to leave there, or even worse, be placed on a do not invite list.

    Recently a lot of people have been punished for speaking on their mobile phones while driving. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  on the phone requires concentration (集中，专心) and {#blank#}2{#/blank#} a driver's attention from the road.
    If you drive after you have consumed alcoholic (含酒精的) drinks, you are{#blank#}3{#/blank#} the law and risking your own life as well as the lives of {#blank#}4{#/blank#} . If you are with someone else who has been drinking alcohol, even {#blank#}5{#/blank#} they had just a glass of beer, do not allow them {#blank#}6{#/blank#} 
There is a fact that driving too fast through city streets is very irresponsible (不负责任的) and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} . Our city streets are always busy with people, cars and {#blank#}8{#/blank#} . Drivers have to take the responsibility to be{#blank#}9{#/blank#}  for people crossing the road, especially older people who walk {#blank#}10{#/blank#} and young children who do not look before stepping into the road.

    We sat on the swing (秋千) enjoying the fresh summer air. Cody, my 6-year-old brother laughed, because he could swing {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (high) than me. I {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (make) to smile by his laugh.

    After that, we went for a walk, looking at the garden. As we {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (walk), Cody looked up at me and said, “Today is the best day for me”. I smiled at him {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (happy) and answered, “Yes, it is a great day”. I then started thinking about what we did that day. We didn't do anything special. It was just {#blank#}5{#/blank#} simple day. We went for walks and swung on the swing.

    So often, we wait {#blank#}6{#/blank#} our “best days” without realizing that “today is our best day”. We often forget to enjoy {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (live) the life today. We should be more like children {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they truly live in the moment. They don't need expensive things to make {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (they) happy.

    It's important for us {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (remember) this and enjoy each da. You're your child-like heart of living each moment to its fullest.

    Linda and Laura were very {#blank#}1{#/blank#}because it would be their mother's birthday next Monday. Their mother loved{#blank#}2{#/blank#}and she knew a lot about them.
