An airplane pilot felt sorry for his hungry passengers, so he bought 1all pizzas. The pilot, Gerhard Bradner, works for Frontier Airlines. His 2 was from Washington D.C. to Denver, but it had to be 3 because of bad weather. He felt hungry and thought he would order a pizza from Domino's Pizza restaurant near the airport. Then he thought his 157 passengers would also be 4 , so he ordered 50 family-sized pizzas. He paid out of his own pocket, 5 the owner of the airline said he could give Mr. Bradner the money for the 6 . He announced on board, "Ladies and gentlemen, Frontier Airlines is known for being one of the 7 airlines in the US, but your captain is not cheap. I just 8 pizzas for the whole plane."

    Resi and I walked to school together every morning. We linked up with some of the other village children. It was 1945 in Germany, and this was a1thing because of the war.

    Sometimes he would be singing. "You are my sunshine ..." he sang over and over,12, until we could sing the whole song.

    One morning, Resi and I arrived, but there was no Frankie. We looked 13. No Frankie. We never saw him again.

    Years later, at a picnic with our American relatives, 14 started singing, "You are my sunshine…" Of course I remembered the words, and I 15joined in. I told them about Frankie. And to this day, whenever I hear the song, I remember Frankie and the wonderful legacy he left us: our first English lesson and many happy memories.

    I will15forget the warmth we received on that day because we depended on a complete stranger for help.

You want to know about my stay in the UK, right? Well, to tell you the truth, it is really 1 fantastic experience to study here. I came to Woodpark School in London two months ago. Since then, I 2 in this school. I find that school life in the UK is very different from that in China.

In China, the first lesson begins at about eight o' clock and there are 3 lessons a day. The first lesson in the UK begins an hour 4 than that in China. Before the first lesson, students all wait in a special classroom. Then a teacher calls the roll(点名) to check if 5 has arrived on time. After that, students change classrooms. Everybody has his or her own course schedule. They go to different classrooms for different lessons instead of 6 in the same classroom. For example, if one's first lesson is Maths, he or she should go to the classroom for Maths.

Besides languages, Science, art, British students learn many 7 courses such as cooking and gardening at school. The boy in my host family once cooked Chinese soup for me. It really surprised me because it tasted as 8 as what my mum cooked.

A group of American high school students built a bus stop shelter(遮蔽物) for a 5- year- old boy Ryder Killam.
