Doing "Clean" Exercise

When you go for a run outside, chances are that you'll find rubbish all around you. Do you just go past it, or do you stop to pick it up? If you choose the second, you are part of the latest popular sport in the West: plogging.

The word"plogging" comes from the Swedish phrase"plocka upp (pick up)" and the English word"jogging (running slowly)". What a plogger needs is a rubbish bag and a pair of gloves to protect his or her hands. While collecting rubbish, ploggers learn to classify (分类) and deal with it correctly too.

Plogging seems simple but it does a lot of good to both the environment and your health. It can not only make the world greener, but also get you full body exercise. For example, a30- minute plogging burns around 288 calories(卡路里), compared to 235 calories burnt from just jogging.

So next time you go out jogging, why not carry a rubbish bag and collect some rubbish along the way? Your body and the environment will thank you.

Let's go {#blank#}1{#/blank#}!

The latest popular sport!

Just need{#blank#}2{#/blank#} and a pair of gloves!

Correctly classify and{#blank#}3{#/blank#} the rubbish!

It's simple but helpful to{#blank#}4{#/blank#} and your body! Make the world{#blank#}5{#/blank#}and yourself a lot.

Join us now! The world says THANK YOU!

 阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。

This morning I went out to have breakfast in a small restaurant with a friend. It was sunny and the wind was gentle. Everything was lovely. But what wasn't lovely was the lady who took our order. She spoke to my friend in a way that was unhappy, certainly not friendly, and sort of rude. Working in hotel myself, I noticed it.

When it came to my turn to get close and order my food, I thought to myself, "What can I do here to make her day nice, to touch her to make her smile?". I was watching her and considering what to do.

Surely there must be something I could do. Then there it was and I knew,it was her voice. She had the most unbelievably well-spoken and clear voice. It was so good. It's so clear, well-spoken and sounds so professional. That was it.

So after she took my order and gave the same unfriendly attitude. I told her , "I hope you don't mind me saying, but____. " I told her how she honestly had one of those voices that would be perfect for announcements or even radio.

Her whole face lit up. She smiled (the first time I had seen her do so) and as I left and walked away, I noticed her whole attitude change. The customer behind me received a totally different kind of service. A happier one. All because of the simple thing I did. Surprisingly, she sent me a note to show her thanks when we pay the bill, which also makes my lovely day.

There was a time when this sort of thing would have embarrassed(使尴尬) me. Or I'd have been too shy to say such a thing. Not now. Now I must! Why? Because there is great power in words and I have the power. The power to completely change someone's day by something as simple as a few kind words and being kind. And you have this power too. We all do.
