Then he asked me to choose a seat. I didn't actually want to 4a seat. In India we had assigned (分配的) seats, so I never needed to worry about that.

The bell rang and I entered my next class. Again, I asked the teacher if I was in the right class. Then I chose a seat, sat down and waited for the6 to begin. The teacher looked at me with a puzzled face, "Why don't you go for lunch?" "But the bell just rang," I said. "That is the lunch bell," she said. Without another word I 7for the cafeteria( 餐厅) .     Every confusion seemed like a difficulty I had to get through to reach my 8. At the end of the day, at the school gate I found my bus and sat down inside happily. I was thinking, today wasn't so bad. I couldn't wait for the next day to come.

C: Read the passage and fill in the blanks with proper words:

Where has the Time gone?is the hottest song that has moved thousands of Chinese. Chinese parents give their children endless love and ask nothing in return. However, sometimes, daughters and sons are too busy growing up and forget that their parents are getting older and older. What should we do? Let's have a look at a l{#blank#}1{#/blank#} of a father's.

Dear son,

One day if you see me old and I am not myself, have patience and try to understand me. If I get dirty when eating…, if I cannot dress…, have patience. Remember the hours I spent t{#blank#}2{#/blank#} it to you.

If, when I speak to you, I say the same things one thousand and one times, do not stop me and l{#blank#}3{#/blank#} to me. When you were small, I had to read to you one thousand and one times the same story until you get to sleep.

When I do not want to have a shower, neither shame(羞辱) me nor scold(责备) me. Remember when I had to chase you with a thousand excuses I invented, in order that you wanted to bath.

When you see me meet something n{#blank#}4{#/blank#}, give me the necessary time and don't laugh at me. I taught you how to do so many things… to eat well, to dress well… to face life.

If I do not want to eat, do not force me. I know well when I need to and when not. When my legs do not allow me to walk, give me your h{#blank#}5{#/blank#} the same way I did when you gave your first steps.

When sometimes I lose the memory during our conversation, let me have the necessary time to remember. And if I cannot do it, do not become nervous b{#blank#}6{#/blank#} the most important thing is not my conversation but to be with you and to have you listen to me.

Yours,

Father

The day didn't begin well. We had to present our project about an Australian animal today, but I{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(leave) the project poster on my desk. When I realized I didn't have it, I was halfway to school. I ran home {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(pick ) up the poster and then hurried to school.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(luck), I got there in time for my {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(one) class, just be- fore the teacher arrived!

Our project presentation was about koalas. I gave the presentation together with David and Jenny. They are my best friends,{#blank#}5{#/blank#} it's easy to work with them. The presentation went well and our classmates really enjoyed it. Everyone loved the koala pictures on the poster! I was in{#blank#}6{#/blank#} great mood, and I didn't even mind that the next lesson was Maths, a subject I'm not good at.

The weather was really nice, so I ate my lunch outside. My mum always{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(pack)a lunch box for me. Today I had an egg sandwich and a banana.

The rest of the day flew by. In the afternoon, I had Art. Our class pointed {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(difference) Australian animals on a big wall. It's going to look really cool when it's finished.
