It's natural for all kids to worry at times, and because of personality differences, some may worry more than others. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} They typically worry about things like grades, tests, their changing bodies, fitting in with friends, the goal they missed at the soccer game, or whether they'll be bullied (欺负), or left out. Luckily, parents can help kids manage worry and deal with everyday problems.
To help your kids manage what's worrying them:
Find out what's on their minds.
Be available and take an interest in what's happening at school, on the team, and with your kids' friends. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} As you listen to stories of the day's events, be sure to ask about what your kids think and feel about what happened. Sometimes just sharing the story with you can help lighten their load.
{#blank#}3{#/blank#}
Being interested in your child's concerns shows they're important to you, too, and helps kids feel supported and understood. Reassuring (令人安心的) comments can help—but usually only after you've heard your child out. Say that you understand your child's feelings and the problem.
Guide kids to solutions.
{#blank#}4{#/blank#} When your child tells you about a problem, offer to help come up with a solution together. If your son is worried about an upcoming math test, for example, offering to help him study will lessen his concern about it.
Offer reassurance and comfort.
Sometimes when kids are worried, what they need most is a parent's concern and comfort. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} It helps kids to know that, whatever happens, parents will be there with love and support.

A Few Active Listening Guidelines
Listening is arguably the most important element of interpersonal communication. Our ability to listen well impacts the quality of all of our relationships, and not just at home with our family and friends—it can also affect our relationships and interactions on the job, as well as the effectiveness and quality of our work.
{#blank#}1{#/blank#} Instead, it is a skill that must be cultivated and practiced. Active listening means the difference between simply hearing, and listening with the intent to truly understand. It is a subtle but important distinction.
①Give focused attention
Try to minimize external (外部的) distractions. Turn down the noise, and put down or step away from what you're doing if possible. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Don't watch the clock, fidget (坐立不安) or go over your to-do list for later.
②{#blank#}3{#/blank#}
Direct eye contact shows your attention and intention to listen. This doesn't mean stare, though. Be reasonable, but try not to let your eyes wander to whatever is going on around you.
③Reflect back
Restate, but don't repeat verbatim. Paraphrase what you think the other party is saying with responses such as: "What I'm hearing is…" or "Let me see if I'm following you…"{#blank#}4{#/blank#}
④Respond appropriately
Be open and honest in your responses. Share your thoughts, insights and feelings in a clear, but respectful and considerate manner if you disagree.
Active listening is a model for good communication. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} It takes practice to develop active listening skills, and it's a habit that has to be reinforced (加强). Remind yourself that the goal of conversation is not merely to trade words, but to truly understand what the other party is saying and to be understood in turn.

Their lively colours, exotic origins and impressive nutrient profiles make them candidates for the next viral food trend.
{#blank#}3{#/blank#} They offer a lifestyle that reflects the global shift towards a more healthconscious society. As the world wrestles with an increasing burden of diseases and the fast pace of modern life, people are seeking dietary solutions from superfoods. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} They are rich in vitamins and minerals that can strengthen your immune system, avoid chronic diseases, and improve your overall wellbeing. Another remarkable benefit is their potential to promote heart health, helping you build a strong heart. Don't forget their role in skin regeneration.
