She had been shopping with her Mom in Wal Mart. She must have been 6 years old. It was 1outside. We all just stood 2the door of the Wal Mart. "Mom, let's run through the rain," she said with a 3 voice." What? "Mom asked." Let's run through the rain! "She repeated." No, honey. We'll wait until it 4 down a bit." Mom replied.

    This young child waited about 5 minute and repeated, "Mom, let's run through the rain."

    "We'll get wet if we do," Mom said. "No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning," the young girl said." This morning? 6 did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?" "Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us 7this, he can get us through anything! "

    The entire crowd became dead silent. I dare say you couldn't hear anything but the 8. We all stood silently. Mom stopped to for a moment about what she would say. "Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If we get wet, maybe we just need  9," Mom said. Then off they ran.

    We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they  10 past the cars. They held their shopping bags over their 11 just in case. They got wet. But they were12by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the 13 to their cars. And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing. Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions (财产), they can take away your money, and they can take away your  14. But no one can ever take away your precious 15. So, don't forget to take time and take the opportunities to make memories.

Hello, I'm Becky Smith. I'm an English girl, but now I'm in Kaifeng, China with my family. I'm in Jinming Middle School. Here is a photo of my family.

These are my grandparents, Mike and Jane. They're my mother's parents. My mother's name is Cathy and my father's name is Jeff. This is my aunt. She is my mother's sister. Her name is Mary Green. And Simon Green is my uncle, Mary's husband. That is Heizai and he is their pet. It is a brown and white dog. These are my brother and sister. My brother's name is Paul, and my sister's name is Cindy. They are in Jinming Middle School, too. They are with my parents in this photo. But I'm not in this photo.

Washing clothes, making the bed, and cooking…these were impossible for Liang Jingwei before. But after taking some living skill classes, it's 1 for this 12- year- old student. 

"At one time, my parents had to 2 me do these things. But now, I can do it all by 3 , " he said. 

At Liang's school, students take a one- week- long 4 : eight students live in a room to learn living skills. "Many of them have never done these chores at home. They have no 5 about these living skills. These classes make up for that, and they learned something 6 , " said Zhang Jing, Liang's teacher. 

Zhang Yuanfan, 12, got better at cutting vegetables by making sushi (寿司). She can 7 cucumbers (黄瓜) and carrots into very thin pieces. But to keep those skills, she 8 every day. "It's not easy. I 9 my mother better now, " she said. Now, she often makes sushi at home. "These classes also help students 10 their life, " Chen Siyu, Zhang's cooking teacher said. 

This weekend is my 9th birthday. My mom books me a pony-riding (骑小马) party. The party lasts for 2 hours. It is from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, but Mom and I will get there half an hour earlier to set the table. We little kids can take turns to ride the ponies, but only ten kids can ride the ponies. I have so many friends that I have to think hard about whom to invite to the party. At the party, each of us can have a ten-minute ride. After each ride, there's a two-minute break. There are three ponies at the party, Dash, Poppy and Dotti, but only Dash and Poppy are for riding. We can brush Dotti's long white hair and give him some carrots, but we can't ride him. He's getting very old and can't carry us any more.

Mom gets lots of food, fruit and drinks for us. On the day of the party, the kids waiting for their tums can have something to eat and drink. There's a garden in the paddock (马场). Mom says the horse owner (主人) hides some small toys in different places in the garden. We can go to look for them. If we find them, we can take them home. How exciting! I can't wait to have the birthday party!
