Today l would like to tell you about my dream．

    My dream is a simple but great one．It is to be a teacher．①我从小就梦想做一名老师!②First of all，it is a pleasure for me to be with children ． They make me feel ③ happy and young．Furthermore，teachers play an important part in the development of children．They teach children and show them how to be good．When children grow up，they use the knowledge that they have learned to develop their motherland and make it beautiful. I think teaching is one of the ④    (value) things in the world．

    Ted Robinson has been worried all the week. Last Tuesday he received a letter from the local police. In the letter he was asked to call at the station. Ted wanted to know why he was wanted by the police, but he went to the station yesterday and he is not worried any more.

    At the station, he was told by a smiling policeman that his bicycle had been found. Five days ago, the policeman told him, the bicycle was picked up in a small village four hundred miles away. It is now being sent to his home by train.

    Ted was the most surprised when he heard the news. He was amused(感到有趣) , too，because he never expected (指望) the bicycle to be found. It was stolen(被偷)  twenty years ago when Ted was a boy of fifteen.

    The ostrich is the largest bird in the world. The ostrich is found in nature in Africa, but it is raised all over the world for its meat.

    The ostrich is a unique（独特的）looking animal. It has long skinny legs, a big body with small wings, a long neck, and a dangerous long beak（喙）.Even though it has wings, it can't fly. But they aren't completely useless either. They help a lot with balance when the ostrich is running at full speed and needs to change directions. The ostrich usually weighs between 200 and 300 pounds and can grow to 9 feet tall. Its large body is covered with feathers.

    The ostrich is famous for its speed on the ground. Its powerful legs allow it to reach speeds of 40 miles per hour! Ostriches can also use their strong legs to kick any enemy or even kill a human or a lion. However, in most cases the ostrich just use its speed to run away from any danger.

    Ostriches eat whatever they can find. This includes plants ,insects, and small animals like lizards. They often live in groups. A group will have around ten birds, but some groups even have 100 birds. This way the whole group can help to protect the eggs. Ostrich eggs are the biggest eggs of any animal at an average of 3 pounds.

    Ostriches don't actually put their head in the ground as many cartoons like to show. What they really do is to lie down and put their head and neck flat on the ground to hide. From a distance all you can see is their body, so it appears as if they have put their head in a hole in the ground. Ostriches can not only kick with powerful feet, they are also armed with 4 inch long claws（爪）on their feet.

    What is your choice when you (A)feel like eating something between classes:fruit or candy?

    (B)Eating snacks is not all bad. It depends on what you eat and why and when you eat.

    Firstly, (C)记住什么零食是健康的很重要。 Forget junk food and fast food because they are bad for your health.

    Secondly, remember that it's always better to eat for hunger. (D)Never pig out (大吃) just because you feel bored or everyone else is eating. If you do so, you might put on weight.

    (E)Finally, do you know when you should eat snacks? It's not wise to eat snacks while you are watching TV or doing homework. And some doctors suggest(建议) eating snacks two hours before meals, or you will lose your appetite (食欲) at dinner time. Bedtime is not a good time for snacking, either.

    If you pay attention to what you eat and eat smartly, you will live a better life.

A. If you are really interested in painting, you should tell your parents about it. You can tell them you will do much better in painting because "Interest is the best teacher".

B. I think you should eat less meat but more fruit and vegetables. And you should do exercise every day. It can help you lose weight and keep you healthy.

C. It is not easy to make a friend, and it is even harder to keep friendship. You should know that it is normal（正常的）for friends to argue with each other. I think you could have a talk with your friend and find out what's going wrong.

D. Why not try your best to take more exercise? It's good for your health. If you are strong enough, the illness will be away from you.

E. A good way to remember English words is to use them often. For example, you can read English stories every day. If you do this, you can remember English words much easier.

    I will never forget the lesson about my window. Four years ago, I moved to a house in a large town. One of my new neighbors' house was only a few feet away from mine.{#blank#}1{#/blank#} Through one of my windows, I could see her reading by her window every afternoon.

    A few months later, I found I couldn't see the woman clearly. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} I said to myself, "Why doesn't she clean her window? It looks terrible!"

    One afternoon, I decided to clean my house including (包括) the window.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} So I sat down by the window for a rest. What a surprise! I could see the woman reading there clearly again! By that time, I knew that my own window was too dirty, not hers! {#blank#}4{#/blank#} I had been watching her through my dirty window in the past days!

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Now I try to clean the window of my heart before judging(评判)others.
