    Mr Black lives in a tall building with his wife(妻子), Mrs Black. They live on the twelfth floor. Mr Black is a worker in a factory. He works from Monday to Friday. He's free at weekends. He likes growing flowers. He plants many flowers on the balcony(阳台). The flowers are very beautiful and Mrs Black likes them very much. She often helps Mr Black.

Sue: Hello, I want to buy some ping­pong balls. Can you help me?

Clerk: Sure. Do you like these balls or those balls?

Sue: I like these balls. How much are they?

Clerk: They're 2 dollars each.

Sue: I need three ping­pong balls.

Clerk: OK. Here they are.

Sue: Thank you.

Clerk: You're welcome.

    Mike is tall. He is a hard-working student. He has a new schedule in the new term(学期)。On Mondays, he has Chinese, English, maths and music. He can play the pipa in music class. On Tuesdays, he has Chinese, maths, art and English. He often plays ping-pong after school. On Wednesdays, he has maths, science, Chinese and art. He can draw pictures in art class. On Thursdays, he has science and computer class. He often cooks dinner for his family after school. He likes vegetables very much. But, he doesn't like salad. On Fridays, he has music, PE, and Chinese. He often watches TV in the evening.

    It's a sunny morning. It's warm but not hot. Jack sees an old man with a black umbrella walking on the street.

    Jack is very curious (好奇的). So he asks the old man, "Hello. Would you tell me why you bring the umbrella?" The old man answers, "My legs are not strong. If I carry a walking stick, people will say, 'How poor the man is!' I don't like this. So I carry an umbrella to help me. When people see I'm walking with an umbrella in a fine day, they will only say, ‘How foolish the man is!' "

    Tom has a big zoo. There are many animals in the zoo. There are eight funny monkeys. There are three small elephants. There is a strong tiger. There are ten beautiful birds. There is a cute(可爱的) panda. But there is not a mouse in the zoo.
