The Double Ninth Festival

    The Double Ninth Festival is a traditional (传统的) Chinese festival. It usually comes in October.

    On this day, people usually go on an outing or climb mountains. Sometimes they go to see flower shows. People eat Double Ninth cakes at this festival. The cakes are sweet(甜的) and nice.

    It's also a festival for old people. On this day, people go to see their parents and grandparents. Many students(学生) visit old people in Old People's Homes. They get together and have a good time.

    Look at the room. It's big and clean. There is a big table near the window. There are three books, two volleyballs, a violin and a guitar on it. Whose books are these? They are Lucy's B8books. Lucy likes reading. The volleyball are Mike s. Mike likes playing volleyball. He often(经常) plays it with his friends after school. The violin is Sally's. Sally can play the violin very well. Whose guitar is this? It is Peter's guitar. It is new and wonderful.

    Steven goes to the park with his father. They have a lot of fun, but now he can't find his father. He goes to the Information Center. "Excuse me. Can I use your phone? I can't find my dad." The man in the center says, "Sure. Here you are." He calls his father. His father says, "I'm at the hamburger shop." Steven thanks the man. Now he can find his dad.

    The Spring Festival is my favourite festival. It's also called the Chinese New Year. Before the Spring Festival, I always send presents and cards to my friends. At the Spring Festival I play games with them. And we often go shopping together. I like the Spring Festival because it's very interesting.

Tom can see a snake, it can slide (滑动). Ms Smart can see a pig, it can turn around. How about Mr. Smart? He can see a lovely cat. It can climb the tree. They are so happy to see the animals, and they have a good time!
