     The Chinese New Year is the most important festival for the Chinese people. It usually comes in January or February. It takes about 15 days to prepare for it.
     On the eve of the festival, people close the shops and stay at home. They all get together for a big dinner. They stay up late and enjoy dumplings at midnight for good luck.
     In the morning, people dress in their best clothes, and usually the old stay at home, the young go out to pay a New Year Call(拜年). It is an important time for the young.       Microblog(微博) is used by more and more people in China. Do you know what it is? Microblog makes the people around the world to know each other better. It helps people to find the information that they need easier, also to get some information about the world they did not know before.
       Many famous people are using microblog now, including singers, TV hosts and artists.      Why is microblog so popular? The most important reason is that it is convenient(方便的). People need not use too much time to write the articles to express their feeling.        Many of my friends use microblog to share what they see, hear and think in a sentence or a photo with others. Also, they can follow their friends' or their favorite stars' microblogs. Microblog is very hot now!

Dragon Boat Festival is very popular in China. It usually comes in May or June. On that day, people eat special food " rice dumplings. It is known for the dragon boat race. The dragon hoar race is the most popular activity during the festival. A dragon boat looks like a dragon, and is painted red, white, yellow or black. Usually, a dragon hoar is 20 to 40 metres long, and needs 20 people to row. Boatmen row the boat in cadence(节奏) with the drumbeats(鼓声), and a man in the front of the boat waves a small flag to help coordinate(使动作协调) the rowing.

The dragon boat race becomes a popular activity in. South China. The international(国际的) dragon boat race is held in Guangzhou and Hong Kong every year.
