Our dog named Zip always brings things home for us to keep! Many of them were toy bears, lambs and ducks. We never could 1the owners.

    One day Dad was 2 the newspaper, "Listen to this, everybody," he said. "To the person who took a Teddy bear from a child′s wagon(推车)-please bring back the toy bear. Our two-year-old son is very 3."

    "Zip does something 4again. He must have taken others′ toys," said Anita.

    "Yes," said Dad, "well, the paper gives the 5. This time I can take back Zip′s 6."

    "Do you think it is 7 to do that?" Mom asked. "If you tell others about Zip, who will believe you?"

    "I will 8 until dark  Then I′ll just put the Teddy bear at the front door and walk away. 9 will see me."

    Dad's idea 10 worked. He put Teddy at the gate. He turned to walk away and knocked into a chair!

I didn't have any confidence（信心） in myself when I was young. That was because I was the strongest girl in my class but I had never been the{#blank#}1{#/blank#} kid among the classmates. But one thing changed me later.

 It was the first day of {#blank#}2{#/blank#} new school and I didn't know anyone. In the math class, the teacher explained a couple of problems to us and showed us how to deal with the similar problems. After solving the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} problem, she asked us to solve a problem by ourselves and write our answers on the whiteboards（白板） she gave us. Then we were {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to hold up our boards so that the teacher could see the answers. It seemed that everybody had the same answer except me. I could not {#blank#}5{#/blank#} crying because I was afraid that my classmates would laugh at me. The teacher came up to see{#blank#}6{#/blank#} was wrong. After looking at my answer{#blank#}7{#/blank#}, she said with a smile, "You are the {#blank#}8{#/blank#} one in the whole class that got the right answer." The moment I heard that, I started to smile. When the math class was {#blank#}9{#/blank#}, it was time for lunch. Everyone in the lunchroom was discussing how smart I was.

{#blank#}10{#/blank#}then, I have stopped doubting myself. I have also learned to believe in myself and feel sure of my abilities.

In winter, it is always very cold outside, while there are some people who make the season warm by offering help. This time, the14-year-old teenager Wang Minran brought warmth to us. That was a cold night and it was already 10 p.m. A 3-year-old girl played outside a restaurant and suddenly she fell into a 20-metre-deep well(井) by accident. Hearing that, people around soon went there and tried to save her. Four excavators(挖掘机) were even prepared. However, the well was not wide enough for a grown-up to get in. It almost drove the girl's father crazy. He tried to get in the well but a helper stopped him. As the girl's crying became weaker and weaker, everyone was very worried but could do nothing. Just at that time, Wang Minran appeared and volunteered to have a try. He was thin enough to get in the well. He was sent into the well from the mouth of it several times. Although it was very difficult, he didn't give up, and together with the helpers, saved the little girl successfully. The teenage hero is a middle school student. From him, we can see a warm winter and a promising(有希望的) future of our country.

 Things changed on one New Year's Eve. On that day,a very old man said he could drive a- way the monster. No one believed(相信){#blank#}6{#/blank#} (he). But the next morning, Nian was gone. And he never came back again! The old man's words were {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(exact) right.

 It is said that Nian was afraid of three things: the color red, fire and noise! So now people fall in love {#blank#}8{#/blank#} them. On New Year's Day, everyone {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(wear) bright red clothes, light- ing fireworks(爆竹) and having fun {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(make) noise all night long.

I wanted to have an experience working in radio. The p{#blank#}1{#/blank#} of doing this is to make me know more about the job. I got a p{#blank#}2{#/blank#} job at a radio station. My main work was to help the presenters prepare for the shows. I was very careful and avoided{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(make) mistakes. I also read some {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(article) to learn how to talk kindly with listeners. It was a helpful experience.
