Another Disney princess movie hit theatres on 5th March 2021. But this time the princess doesn't wait for the prince to save her — she is ready to save the world herself. Raya and the Last Dragon, the film shows Southeast Asian culture and Disney's first Southeast Asian heroine (女主角).

The story takes place in a world called Kumandra. Five hundred years ago, the world's dragons died to save humans. But the world breaks up into five states and they fight against each other. Raya, the princess of one of the states, needs to find the last dragon to save the world. On her journey, Raya invites other people to join her and learns to trust others and be more responsible.

Once upon a time, being a Disney princess meant being a damsel in distress(落难女子) in a European fairy tale, but this movie is different, according to the BBC. Raya has no boyfriend, but is a great fighter who is very brave and independent, according to the movie's writer Adele Lim.

Besides Raya, most of the main characters in the movie, including the dragon Sisu, are female. They stand out and depend on(依靠) no one else instead of acting as supporting roles for males. Namaari, once a friend to Raya, is now a dangerous enemy. She is a strong, brave and loyal fighter, just like Raya.

The movie shows "a complicated dynamic(复杂互动) that's still rare in the Disney universe, particularly between women," the Los Angeles Times said.

 Hello, everyone. Let me tell you something about our winter holiday in America. Our holiday is from December to January. It lasts for about 3 weeks. During the holiday, we often take part in many activities such as winter school, winter camp(冬令营) and winter trips.

 In winter school, there are many courses(课程): Math, English, Science, skating and so on. We also do a lot of reading. Our parents let us choose any course we like.

 Winter camp is great fun. We have a good time with our friends. We also visit many places such as libraries and places of interest.

 Sometimes during the winter holiday, we travel to other countries or cities with our family. Last year, I went to China and Australia with my parents. We learnt a lot about Chinese and Australian culture. We saw some pandas in China and koalas in Australia. They were so cute! It was a wonderful trip.

Zhou Yichen, 11, is a primary school st udent from Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province. In July, he got to the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} of Mount Elbrus. The mountain in Russia（俄罗斯） is 5,642 meters high. And it's the highest mountain in Europe（欧洲）.

The boy climbed（攀爬） the mountain with his father in five hours. "It was difficult. I thought I would fail（失败）, but I made it. I'm so {#blank#}2{#/blank#}," Yichen said.

Zhou Shuangliu, Yichen's father, is an outdoor lover（户外爱好者）. He climbed Mount Qomolangma in May. Together, they got to the top of the Siguniang Mountain in Sichuan Province twice - when Yichen was 9 and 10 years old. To prepare（准备） for their latest trip, Yichen ran 5 kilometers twice a week and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} every week.

"In the past, my son often played games when holding a phone. I told him that he could use the phone {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, because one day he will need it for climbing in other countries. And he really started learning English on his phone," says Zhou Shuangliu.

Yichen developed（培养） a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} interest in mountain climbing from his Russian experience（经历）. He hopes to get to the top of the 6,178 - meter Yuzhu Peak in Qinghai Province next summer.

I still remember the terrible storm which came at 4:00 p. m. on February 15th. My parents and I were watching TV at that time when suddenly the lights {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(go) on and off for a few times. It was clear that there was something wrong {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the circuit (电路). Before my father went to have {#blank#}3{#/blank#} look, the room became completely dark. So we had to use the flashlight (手电筒) to find out what happened.

When I {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(wake) up the next morning, I found the trees were {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(cover) with snow and the road became icy. Many people went out{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(buy) some necessary (必要的) things while kids were playing {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(happy) in the snow.
