Mom: What would you like for dinner, Amy?

Amy: I'd like some bread, beef and milk.

Mom: What about you, Mike?

Mike: I'd like some beef and noodles.

Mom: Would you like some chicken or soup, Amy?

Amy: I'd like some chicken.

    There are many people in the bus. Some have seats, but some have to stand. At a bus stop, a woman gets on the bus. An old man hears the door and tries to stand up. “Oh, no ，thank you", the woman forces（强迫）him back to the seat. "Please don't do that. I can stand." "But, madam. Let me…,”says the man. "I ask you to keep your seat." the woman says. She puts her hands on the old man's shoulder. But the man still tries to stand up, "Madam, will you please let me？”“Oh, no," says the woman, she again forces the man back. At last the old man shouts（大声喊），“I want to get off the bus!”

    Little Peter is a boy of nine. He began to go to school when he was six, and now he is in Grade Three. He lives not far from the school, but he is often late for class. He likes watching TV in the evening and goes to bed late, so he can't get up on time in the morning. This term, Peter's aunt works in Peter's school. She is strict with Peter，and often tells the boy to obey （遵守）the school's rules and come to school on time.

    Yesterday morning, Peter got up late. When he hurried to school  it was 8；15, His aunt was waiting for Kim at the school gate. You are ten minutes late for the first class, Peter.， His aunt said angrily, Why are you often late for class? Peter says, Every time I get to the street comer, I always see a guidepost （路标）.It says, SCHOOL—GO SLOW.

Whose Dogs?

    Tom and his Mum walk in a street. They see a big dog and a small dog there.

    "Tom, do you know whose dogs they are?" his Mum asks.

    "Sorry, I don't know."

    "The big dog is the small dog's Mum." says the mother.

    "Oh, I know. The small dog is the big dog's son." answers Tom.
