It's Sunday today. The weather is not very good. It's cloudy. Sam wants to play in the park. Every weekend (周末), there are lots of people in the park. Some people walk or run there. Some children fly kites or play games there. Sam likes to ride his bike in the park. He is always happy at the weekend.

    There're five members in my family—my parents , my grandparents, and me . My mother is a teacher. She teaches Chinese in our school. She likes music. My father is a teacher, too. He teaches art in the Guang Ming primary school. He likes going hiking. My grandmother is a worker. She likes reading books. My grandfather is a scientist. He likes playing chess. I am Betty. I'm in Shi Yan primary school. I like singing and dancing. Look! I have a happy big family. Isn't it?

    Mrs. Green doesn't like sports. She has much work to do at home. Her mother is coming this afternoon and she goes to meet her. Near the school she looks at her watch. She has some time. So she goes into the school. Her son isn't in the classroom. She asks a boy and knows they're behind the school. She sees some boys playing there. Her son is there too. She watches them playing and soon she's angry. She takes her son to the wall. “Go home with me, Richard.” She says, "Don't play with them. I can buy a nice ball for you. Then you don't need to scramble for the ball."

    Tina loves singing and dancing, so on weekends she usually goes to a dancing club. In the summer, she often goes to the park. Sometimes she has a picnic with her family. In the winter, she usually goes skating. She is very good at skating.

    Tina also does chores on weekends. She also helps her mother cook dinner on Saturday. She sometimes helps her father clean his car. She thinks that's fun! She also has to clean her room. That's not fun!

    Sometimes Tina, Ted and their parents go out together. They go to a museum or art gallery, and then they go to eat pizza. This weekend Tina is going to sing with Bill. Bill is going to teach her to singing a Chinese song.
