Christmas comes in winter. It is always on the same day each year. It's on December 25. We always get up early on Christmas. When we get up, we find gifts at the end of our beds. We open our gifts in the morning. We have a big lunch at home. In the afternoon, we play games and have a good time. In the evening, I'm usually very tired, so I go to bed at about 10 o'clock.

Yesterday was Sunday. Tom was at home. He got up at six o'clock in the morning. He had rice for breakfast. At eight he helped his mother do the housework. At nine he watched TV with his father. He cooked fish for lunch. At four in the afternoon he washed his clothes. He went to bed at ten in the evening.

    Amy's birthday is coming. On her birthday, she wants to have a birthday party in her house. She will invite her friends to her party. At the party, they will eat the birthday cake. Amy likes singing very much. So they will sing and dance. They will play many games, too.

    Amy's parents will give her a big surprise（惊喜）. She will have a great time. Amy's birthday is on April 21st. The party will start at 7:30 p.m. You can send a birthday card to her email as a present（礼物）.

    Most English people have three names: a first name, a middle name and the family name. Their family name comes last. For example, my full name is Jim Allan Green. Green is my family name .My parents gave me both of my other names.

    People don't use their middle names very much. So “John Henry Brown” is usually called “John Brown”. People never use Mr., Mrs. or Miss before their first names. So you can say John Brown, or Mr. Brown; but you should never say Mr. John. They use Mr., Mrs. or Miss with the family name but never with the first name.

    Sometimes people ask me about my name. “When you were born, why did your parents call you Jim?” they ask. "Why did they choose that name?” The answer is they didn't call Jim. They called me James. James was the name of my grandfather. In England, people usually call me Jim for short. That's because it is shorter and easier than James.

    Look, this is my school. It's very big. This is my classroom. It's new and beautiful. That is the teacher's office（办公室）. It's old. But it's tall.
