Summary(概要):

Andy and Daniel are brothers. One day, they go into the forest and spend the whole afternoon there. 

The sky turns dark and they cannot find their way back. Suddenly, they fall into a big hole. 

In the hole, they become very small. They meet a squirrel and become friends with it. Then they go on a journey with the squirrel. During the journey, they meet different animals. They have lots of fun. They stay overnight at the squirrel's home. 

The next day, they are still in the hole, but they are back to their original( 原 来 的 ) size. They finally climb out of the hole after two hours. They think that it must be a dream, but they see the squirrel nearby. It is waving(挥手) to them. 

Opinion:

This story isn't exciting. I think Polly's other books like The Twins in the Mysterious Cave and The Twins' Deep- Sea Discovery are much more exciting. I hope her new book The Twins' African Trip will be better. I bought it from the bookshop yesterday. 

In a small village in Henan, there is a cool teacher named Zhang Jiantao. He teaches science at a primary school in the village. Mr. Zhang loves working on experiments (实验) with his students and making them laugh and learn at the same time. 

Mr. Zhang's experiments are so fun that the kids can't wait for the next one. They often ask, " When can we do science experiments, Mr. Zhang?" Mr. Zhang notices their excitement and tries to do more. He enjoys it when he sees the kids excited about science. 

Mr. Zhang doesn't have enough equipment ( 器 材 ) for his experiments in the school, but that doesn't stop him! He uses what he has around him, " Old bottles can be helpful in our experiments!" says Mr. Zhang. " We can turn waste into treasure. " He shows the kids that old bottles can come in handy for many experiments. He uses them to create amazing things, like water rockets. With little money and plenty of waste, he is trying his best to make science easy and fun to learn. 

As time passes, Mr. Zhang's passion(激情) for teaching science grows stronger. He wants more kids to

learn and have fun with science, especially in the countryside. He wants to share his experiments with other teachers. He dreams of creating a science textbook for them. That way, more kids can enjoy the wonders of science, just like his students.

There are lots of different kinds of museums all over the world. They each have something different to show you. Let's check out some popular ones!

If you love art, there are art museums everywhere. A famous one is the Louvre in Paris, France. It's where the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo live!

Museums aren't just for grown-ups. They can be fun and educational for kids, too! Children's museums are made just for young minds. These museums have things for children to play with. They make learning a fun experience for little kids. 

If you' re into animals and nature, you' ll enjoy natural museums. They have plants, animals, rocks, and fossils (化石). You can even do hands-on activities and get close to nature. 

There are also science and space museums! They can take you on a journey through space and teach you about the world around you. If you love to wonder about what's out there, visit a science or space museum. 

If you are crazy about history, you can't miss history museums. They show you what life was like in the past. These museums might have models of people, objects, and even real things from long ago. For example, the Shaanxi History Museum is known for its collection of ancient artifacts(人工制品). 

And finally, don't forget about special museums for other interesting things. Some museums are about trains, cars, ships, airplanes, and even toilets!

Anyway, next time you' re looking for a fun time, find a museum! Who knows, you might be opening a window to a different world for yourself!

Nobody likes making mistakes, but the truth is that everyone makes mistakes. It's just a part of life. However, how you treat those mistakes makes a difference in how you learn and whether you repeat the same mistakes. Here's some advice on what you can do, if you are upset about your mistakes. 

Think about your mistakes and learn from them. It helps you to learn to think like a scientist and develop scientific thinking habits. ▲ One of them is to make educated guesses called hypotheses ( 假 说 ) and test those guesses to see if they' re right or wrong. They look at the results of their tests and learn from their mistakes — since hypotheses are often wrong. Then, they change their hypotheses and run new tests on them again. 

Try to keep practicing dealing with your mistakes. Research over the years supports an idea known as the 10, 000-hour rule. It says it takes about 10, 000 hours to become an expert in something. It means that practice is necessary for people to be good at something. Research also shows that the best improvements come from deliberate( 有 意 的 ) practice. It means paying full attention to your mistakes and fixing those problems before moving on. Even though you might not be trying to become an expert right now, you can still use deliberate practice to get good at dealing with your mistakes and grow as a learner. 

Don't feel bad or worry too much next time you make a mistake. See it as a chance to learn and take the time to find out what went wrong. It will help your brain remember the mistake and what you' ve learned from the mistake. These memories will help you not repeat the same mistakes in the future and also help you learn to think like a scientist and learn from your mistakes!

When you study, the first thing to consider is whether you understand the information, and the second is how you will remember it. Some of you probably think you know all about that, right? After all, you have been studying for years. The advice is for all of you. 

First of all, have a plan. You can make a plan for a week or for a longer time. If you' re studying for an important exam, you should make a long-term plan. And you need to check if it works from time to time. 

Next, think about your environment. Make sure the place for studying is comfortable with enough light and fresh air, not too hot or too cold. If you think you do it better with music, you can put some music on and see if it's true. Some people work better with music playing. But for many people, it can make it harder to concentrate (集中注意力). 

You can plan your study time in periods ( 时 间 段 ) with breaks in between. Some Experts recommend ( 推 荐 ) you to take a10-minute break after 30 minutes of studying. If you study for too long without a break, your mind won't work as well as before. During your short break, you can treat yourself to something like green tea, but I wouldn't suggest chocolate because sugar can make it harder to concentrate. 

Finally, think about what you do when you' re studying. Some people just read through their books and mark important parts with a pencil.  However, I suggest writing notes while studying because it helps your mind process(处理) the information better!

What other advice can you come up with to remember information better when studying? (15 词以内) 

It was an extremely busy day. I was so tired of my life that I was getting a little 1 with myself and everyone around me. On my way home I met my old friend Paul in the street. He looked happy and 2 me to his home for dinner. We hadn't seen each other for many years, so I accepted his invitation 3 I was tired. 

As we entered the door of his house, Paul started 4 "I have a dream, a song to sing, to help you go5 everything. " I felt surprised at his behavior, but in no time I understood. Two girls walked to Paul and hugged him. They couldn't walk6 or speak clearly, but their faces were full of7 and sang the same song.

On June 20, 2023, there was a piece of news that Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station would be open by the end of 2023. It soon caught many people's (注意). 

Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station lies in Baiyun district (区) in Guangzhou and covers about 453, 000 square meters. It is one of the largest railway stations in Asia now. ( 在旁边) the station, there is a bus station, two squares and many parking lots. 

Since Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station opened to the public, it has become a hub( 枢 纽 ) where six railways meet. These railways (连接) Guangzhou with other big cities in China. From the station, there are many (直接的) trains to these cities. In addition, six (地下的) railways pass by the station. It is very (方便的) for passengers to reach the station to take trains from every part of the city of Guangzhou. 

Guangzhou is one of the most important big cities in China. And it is very beautiful and people even call it" (花园) city". There are many amazing places of interest to see. People from all over the world come to  (欣赏) the beauty of Guangzhou. And people from every(角落 ) of the country even would like to come to live and work in the city. Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station will surely play a(n) ( 积极的 ) role in the development of the economy( 经 济 ) of Guangzhou in the future. 

At 23 years old, Li Runfeng, a graduate ( 毕业生) from Tsinghua University, started a special journey a volunteer English teacher at Nanjian No. l Middle School in Yunnan Province. Li wanted to make a(n) ( different) in the education of students in the village. But she had to face many challenges. The students there had poor basic ( 基 础 的 ) education. They showed little interest in study, ( especial) in subjects like English or Chinese.
