As the new terms begins, some students find themselves tired and feel that they are not in the mood to study. People call this "post-holiday syndrome(节后综合征)".
For Ran Yaxing from Dalian University, this means she has to eat the terrible food at her university's messy tables. She said that she lost her appetite(食欲) during her first days back.
Students must also return to the uncomfortable dormitory(宿舍) life. Just ask 19-year-old Jiang Cheng, who lived in a large home in Tianjin over the holiday. Now back to campus(大学生活), he is sleeping on a wooden bed. He said he couldn't make himself happy.
21 year-old Qu Meng had the same feeling a year ago, but not this year. That's because he returned to campus a few days before the new term began. So far, Qu's early return seems to have worked well.
There are many reasons for post-holiday syndrome, the most important of which is the irregular(不规律的) lifestyles during the holiday.
According to Psychologist Li Jun, it's no use taking some medicine. She says students like Ran and Jiang should stay more active during the winter break. "Post-holiday syndrome is not a disease. It not hard to get over it,"Li said.
