Each of us makes mistakes from time to time. In fact, we can get a lot from our mistakes.

Donnie was a shy student and never answered questions in class. He was afraid to make mistakes. He never finished his homework because he didn't want to make any mistakes. Nothing changed till Marry Anne, a teacher, came to our class.

One morning, Marry Anne asked Donnie to answer some questions. After a while Donnie was in tears because he made a mistake. Suddenly Marry Anne got a box full of erasers from the desk.

"Look, Donnie," she said standing beside him. "I have something to show you." She took out the erasers, one at a time, and put them on the desk.

"See these erasers, Donnie?" she asked. "Do you know why the erasers become smaller and smaller? That's because we make mistakes. But we erase the mistakes and try again. That's what you must learn."

"Here," she said, "I'll leave one eraser on your desk, so you will remember that everyone may make mistakes." Donnie looked at Marry Anne and smiled.

Once upon a time,there was a man named Lazy. He wanted to have a big house and it took him over a year to build one. The house was so beautiful that all of his {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(neighbor) admired him very much.

But as time went by,his house started to have some problems. One day {#blank#}2{#/blank#} old neighbor went past it and said,"Your house is beautiful,but the grass in the yard is a bit overgrown. "Lazy answered {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(quick),"I know,but it's OK. I {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(cut) it tomorrow. "

A few days later,a mailman came by with a letter for Lazy. The mailman said,"Sir,your house is wonderful,but the windows are a bit dirty. You can make it more wonderful by {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(clean) them. "Lazy replied reluctantly(不情愿地),"I know,but it's OK. I will do that tomorrow. "

Weeks passed by. Lazy's yard was in a mess. The paint was falling down and the windows were covered with dirt. One day,his brother came over{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(visit) him. He was{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(surprise) at what he saw and scolded him angrily,"Lazy,I know why you're called Lazy. You're just {#blank#}8{#/blank#} your name!What have you done for your house?It could fall apart at any second!"

Just the next day, after a heavy rainstorm,Lazy's house fell down!

There are many Lazys around {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(we).Are you lazy,too?Have you ever put off "something" to "tomorrow","next month" {#blank#}10{#/blank#}even "next year"?It's much better to just deal with things today than to wait until some imaginary(想象的) "tomorrow" that might not actually come.
