He often buys things such as mobile phones(手机)and cameras(照相机)on it He spends about two hundred yuan buying things on it each month. It often takes him three days to get his products.

    But Adam's parents never shop on the Internet. They can't see the real products (产品)and they often worry. Adam's mother likes buying clothes but she can't try them on(试穿) if she buys the clothes on the Internet. So she often goes shopping with her husband(丈夫). There are some shops near their home, so Adam's parents often go there to shop.

Learn to rise again

    It is not always easy to discover yourself. From a(/an)1age, I had a strong sense of who I would become—but an accident changed everything.

    To me, skating was more2than anything else in the world. Nothing else filled my heart with so much3. I spent 24 hours a week developing my skills. I had no social life or interests other than4.But I was rewarded (回报) with first place medals in nearly every competition.

    5, during one competition, I fell and was badly injured. The doctor told me that I couldn't skate any more. The pain in my back was6to bear (忍受) and even basic daily tasks became difficult.

Instead of sitting around and wasting my days, I began to work with local community service projects. By volunteering as a swimming teacher and summer reading assistant (助教) for kids, I got an idea of whom I wanted to become. After a few months, I9a new interest. Little by little, I stepped out of the shadow and rebuilt my confidence.

    Sometimes, challenges in life will get in the way. We can choose to stay behind or try to get past these challenges.  My10was a challenge that failed to stop me from reaching success. Today, I'm a very confident and optimistic (乐观的) person.

    We should not use more water than we actually need. If we do, we will not have enough water in the future.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}It is not a difficult question to answer. If we remove more fresh water than nature replaces, we have taken too much.

    Many cities run campaigns (运动) to get people to stop wasting water. They show them ways they can cut back on water use.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}What's more, they carry out programs that offer money to reduce water use. For example, they give people shower heads and toilets that use less water.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    Another threat (威胁) to our water supply is pollution. When our sources of fresh water get polluted, we can no longer use this water. This also endangers (危及) the animals that depend on the water.

It is more than sixty years since the death of Lei Feng, and yet his spirit still influences Chinese young people. In fact, the wish to help others can always be found among common people. 

On September 5, 2022, when an earthquake hit Luding, Sichuan, a 28-ycar-old hydropower station (水电站) worker Gan Yu chose not to leave but stay at his workplace. saving villages from being damaged. People think he is a hero like Lei Feng. but he doesn't feel that he should be compared to the young hero. "Lei Feng is a role model to all Chinese young people. The things he did may seem small. but behind them was a great quality that we can all achieve." he said. 

Zeng Qiangfei, 24, is also from Sichuan. In 2013, when an earthquake happened in his hometown, he was studying in a middle school. Zeng remembered seeing rescuers (救援者) and volunteers gather there to help. When he grew up, he became a volunteer himself. After a terrible quake hit Turkey and Syria this year, he flew there to help. During the course, he always saw local people bowing quietly to volunteers like them. "I grew up listening to Lei Feng's stories. He is an excellent young man who tried his best to help others." said Zeng. 

This view is shared by a 56-year-old British man named James Elroy Edginton, who lives in Hunan. the hometown of Lei Feng. Working at a local college. Edginton volunteers to help students from poor families. and is warmly regarded as a "foreign Lei Feng". "I am glad to be connected with the spirit of Lei Feng. His qualities are borderless (无国界的) ." he said.
