How to read more and learn more

    These days, more and more Chinese people enjoy sending and receiving messages on the phone. It can help them to get the latest news and communicate with friends. But I think I should read more books besides the textbooks, the more, the better. It can broaden my mind and improve my language skills. Here are some tips for you.

    Clear your purpose for reading.

    Most people read for two main reasons, pleasure or knowledge. Clearing about your reading purpose can not only help you choose the books you really need to read, but also remind you why reading the book is important to you, so you will keep reading and complete the book faster.

    No matter what you are reading, it is important to enjoy what you read. Your friends may introduce you the books they love, but those books might not necessarily be the ones you enjoy.

Give up books that you don't enjoy.

    You may have chosen books that you are interested in, and they are right purpose. But while you are reading them, there may still be some books that you don't enjoy reading. Whenever you realize that you aren't enjoying the book you are reading, give it up.

    Set a reading goal.

    It is interesting that I read the books borrowed from libraries faster than those I bought. The reason is the books I bought don't have a due date! I don't need to return those books.

    Before you read each book, ask yourself what time you need to complete this book by.

A. Read only what you are interested in.

B. Read the books borrowed from others.

C. Remember reading shouldn't be a burden(负担).

D. Of course, it also can help me to get good grades.

E. We need to get the latest news and communicate with friends.

F. Before you start reading, ask yourself why you are reading this book.

    A conflict at work is common.If you can avoid conflict,it means you will win what you want regardless of what the other person wants.Since the potential problem has not been removed,it will simply reappear later.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    Be aware of the fact that some conflicts are unavoidable at work.On many occasions(场合),conflict and disagreement are likely to happen.But when a conflict happens it is not the end of the world.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}Conflicts mean that people care enough to disagree strongly.The trick is not to allow the conflict to go on forever.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#}Solve a conflict when it starts,as it only gets worse with time going by.Everyone is waiting for the other to admit he or she is wrong and gets more unpleasant after the conflict has lasted a while.It is necessary to interrupt the "waiting game" before it gets to that point.

    Ask nicely.If somebody has done something that makes you angry,or if you don't understand their viewpoints or actions,simply asking nicely about them can make a world of difference.Never assume that people do what they do to annoy or hurt you.Sometimes there is a good reason why that person does what he or she does,and a potential conflict disappears right there.{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Appreciate.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}Tell them why it is worth it to you to solve the conflict.This can be difficult as few people find it easy to appreciate a person they disagree strongly with,but it is a great way to move forward.

Happiness begins from appreciation

    If you are feeling that life just cannot be any worse for you, it can be challenging to think positive. When stressed, depressed, upset or otherwise in a negative state of mind because you are aware that misfortune keeps occurring, it is important to shift those negative thoughts to something positive. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    It is often very hard to think positive when so many things are negative, but be sure that someone, somewhere is worse off than you. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} If you start with one small, positive thing and appreciate it during the course of your day, you will begin to move into a more positive situation and people will start showing up in your life.     If you are having health problems, be grateful for what does work: “I really do appreciate it that my eyes see, my ears hear, my mouth tastes, my legs walk, my arms lift and my mind thinks and everything else works.”

    Write down what you're grateful for each day. In moments when you're feeling really down, read loud what you wrote previously. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} If you practice this regularly, you will find your list getting longer and longer.

    The key is to move yourself into a positive thought and keep it there long enough to make it a moment of appreciation. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

Getting the Cheapest Flights

    After interviewing 10 travel agents in the area, we've compiled (汇编) the very best tips for finding the cheapest flights.

    Book your flight 21 days before you want to fly. Booking a flight is like playing a game of chicken. Airlines want to get the most money possible for their tickets and have difficult computer programs that adjust their prices automatically. Booking too early, you might miss out on some major deals. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}The best advice is to book your flight 21 days before your planned departure date to get the best deals.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}Most airlines update their reservation systems on Tuesday at 7 p.m. GMT. People tend to buy their tickets on weekends, so airlines make changes on one of the slowest days of the week—Tuesday.

    Fly on Tuesday or Wednesday. Tuesday and Wednesday are the least busy days at airports, and are also the cheapest days to fly. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}Friday and Sunday are the peak flying days of the week, and are the worst, and most expensive days to fly.

    Book early for international flights. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}You can also try flying into smaller airports, which sometimes have better deals.

    Eat your cookies(网络标记). Delete your Internet browser cookies if you've visited an airline site within the last 30 days. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    Compare prices. Use travel search engines, in addition to airline websites, to make sure you're getting the best deal possible.

A. Collect it one day ahead.

B. Tuesday is the best day of the week.

C. Pay in cash when you receive your ticket.

D. Booking too late, you might be shocked to see prices skyrocket.

E. The best deals for international flying are found 11-12 weeks in advance.

F. As an added bonus, you'll also have less people to deal with at the airport.

G. It's been discovered that some airlines will raise prices for previous visitors to their websites.

    We all have times in our lives when we just have too many things to deal with.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}Well, that's crazy, because if you get ill then you're going to be able to do nothing. Here are some ideas to take care of yourself.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Living with clutter(杂乱)and never being able to find what you need when you need it causes stress. Take time to develop a system and then use it. Instead of keeping all the things you need to do in your head, write them down on a piece of paper.

    Devote 30 minutes per day to personal development materials. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} And negative ones will disappear. If we want to be successful in work and life, we need to develop the habit of feeding our minds in a positive way. So take in good inspiring information.

    Say no to anything that is not important to you. Give yourself permission to concentrate on what's important. Getting the unessential, tiresome responsibilities off your schedule will give you more time and space. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Take 5-minute mini-breaks every hour. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} So no matter how efficiently you work, you should always let your mind wander or end up spending time doing other things when you try to keep going hour after hour. Instead, break up each hour by getting up from your chair and walking outside to take a 5-minute break.

A. Get organized.

B. Write a daily gratitude list.

C. You can't stay focused all the time.

D. Fill your minds with positive thoughts.

E. Besides, it will reduce the pressure that you feel.

F. As a result, we often forget to look after ourselves.

G. Eating healthily is one of the most sensible things you can do for yourself.
